Luke stared blankly at the middle-aged professor with dark hair along with some streaks of gray as he moved about the hall, giving lectures.

But Luke barely listened to what he was spewing.

It's been over a week now and Liam has refused to get off his mind. Although he doesn't think about him every minute of the day, he only comes to his mind occasionally.

He sighed and then realized that stupid Sam wasn't in class.

Luke shook his head.

That boy!

He never attended class, only women. That seems like his purpose in life. What was he going to do with him?

He has been acting in character ever since the blind date, maybe it was out of guilt and surprisingly, he hasn't brought any other girl into their room.

He hoped it would stay that way.

His phone beeped and he stared at the text.

“Hey, is it just me or have you been avoiding me lately?” The text read, “I don't see you anymore. Can we meet up?”

Luke didn't even need to check who the texter was.

It was from Travis.

After that date, he has been avoiding him like the plague.

He sighed again.

Great, how many times am I gonna sigh today? He wondered inwardly, I didn't even pay attention to the lecture throughout the class. How wonderful!

“... and the class is dismissed.” Luke snapped his head towards the podium. “And don't forget, you're to submit a report of your own on the discussion we just had by next class. Thank you.”

Students rose to their feet and began to exit the lecture hall as the professor took his exit.

Luke got up and packed his books and laptop.

He exited the hall and began to walk down the hallway. His phone beeped and he reached out for it.

It was a voice note from Sam.

What does he want now? Luke wondered, reaching for his pocket and plugging his earphone.

He was too focused on his phone to notice the commotion he walking into.

“Hey, bro,” Came Sam's excited voice, “You would not believe what just happened…”

Luke bumped into a guy and jolted backwards. He quickly looked up from his phone.

Cobalt blue eyes!

Luke knew those eyes all too well. He'd recognize them, even with his own eyes closed.

He forgot to breathe for a second and his heart contracted and then began to race.

What the hell is Liam doing here? He wondered in astonishment, blinking twice to make sure that this wasn't a figment of his imagination.

“Hi, Luke.” Liam smiled at him.

Luke noticed the girls lurking around the hallway, whispering to each other and ogling at Liam.

“Can we go somewhere else?” He deadpanned, moving past him.

Liam followed him.

They walked out of the hallway, to the school's football field.

Luke was trembling with anger. He was ready to lash out at Liam for showing his face over here.

He came to a halt and spun around.

“Liam, what the fuck?” He yelled angrily, “What the hell are you doing here?”

“Well, you could say that I'm not a student of Evermore College,” Liam answered.

He was extremely happy to be here, with Luke, even though Luke was mad at him.

At first, Luke thought that Liam was just pulling his leg.

“What? You're joking right?”

“I’m not.” Liam answered, “I accepted the sponsorship offer from this college… all because of you. I want to be with you.”

Luke's heart began to pound furiously at Liam's words.

This can't be true, he told himself, this has to be a joke.

If Liam is now a student of Evermore College, then this will all be a total disaster!

Liam took a step forward, “Look, I know you still hate me, even though you said you've forgiven me. But… I don't want you to hate me, Luke. I want us to go back to the way we used to be. We can start by being friends.”

Luke took a step back, “I don't want to be friends Liam. I don't even want to see your face! You broke me, you know that? You made me hate myself. Anytime I look at your face, all I can think of is punching you!”

“Then do that,” Liam said, his voice tight with emotion. Luke's words were hurting him and he felt horrible, “If punching me will make your hatred for me go away,” He took a step forward, “If punching me will make us be friends again, “He took another step, “Then go ahead and do it.”

Another inch and their lips would be touching. Liam's scents filled Luke's nostrils and he drifted them down his lungs.

God, he's missed this scent! So much!

Luke came back to his senses and took two steps backward, “If you think transferring here will make us friends, Liam, then you've got another think coming!”

And then with that, Luke spun on his heels and quickly walked away, leaving Liam standing miserably in the middle of the field.

Liam hadn't expected it to be easy to get back with Luke. He was determined he would win back and he won't stop till he does.

Sam was already dressed up for a date with that chick he met at the bar a week ago.

He had spent the past week searching for that chick around campus.

He just wanted to lay her and then add her to the list of “Fucked Collection” as he would call it.

Fortunately for him, he found her in the library yesterday.

Sam wasn't in the library to study, he was there to hook up with some other girl. His happiness knew no bounds when he laid his eyes on her.

There and then he had cancelled the hookup and began to flirt with her. Her name was Trudy. She was a hard one, but Sam managed to crack her. Anyways, no woman was hard for him to crack.

He put on his cologne and left the three buttons of his shirt open unbuttoned.

He stared at his reflection in the mirror and nodded in approval.

Damn! I'm so fine! He thought.

The door burst suddenly open, startling him.

Luke walked into the door as though he had just seen a ghost. He sat on his desk and facepalmed himself.

Sam instinctively knew something was amiss.

“What's wrong?” He asked, walking up to Luke's desk.

Luke didn't answer, he kept hyperventilating.

“He's here,” Luke breathed, bringing down his hand from his face.

“Who?”

“Liam.”

“What the hell are you talking about?” Sam queried, a little confused and his voice a little frustrated.

“That asshole, Liam. He transferred here… all because of me.” He mumbled.

Surprise materialized in Sam's eyes, “The hell?”

Finally, someone got the saying correct, "another think coming." Kudos to the author, and the story so far is pretty good.

  • Closeted Desires    Forever... always

Four Lovely Years Later “I swear to God, Mary, if we miss this wedding, I'm never gonna forgive you!” Anthony growled through gritted teeth, “For how long are you gonna do your makeup for God's sake?!” “Oh, please!” Mary waved him off with a slight roll of her eyes, “Let a woman wear her makeup in peace. Besides, we still have like an hour before the event begins, and also, Megan is there. She'll probably be recording the entire thing on her phone, so even if we miss it, we'll watch it on her phone.” “I want to be there, Mary,” Anthony said, “I don't want to watch my son's wedding through some phone screen.” “Then exercise some patience,” Mary said, applying some lip gloss on her lips, smacking them and then pouting. She scrutinized her already-styled hair through the mirror and then turned. “I feel like the hair is not that, you know, well styled.” She turned to Anthony, “What do you think?” Anthony knew that if he said just one wrong thing, she might spend another whole hou

  • Closeted Desires    Will You Marry Me?

The two stepped down from the car and walked towards the cabin after Luke locked the car. They reached the cabin and Luke unlocked the door with a key he fished out from his pocket, then opened it for Liam and stood by the side, gesturing him to enter.Liam entered and glanced around the place, wide-eyed.The scent of pine, cinnamon, and something sweet in the oven drifted through the warm air. The inside was small but inviting… wooden walls, soft lighting, and a fire crackling lazily in the stone hearth.A Christmas tree stood proudly in the corner, dressed in red and gold, with a scattering of wrapped presents tucked beneath its branches.Garlands laced the mantel, dotted with tiny lights and sprigs of holly, and stockings hung loosely beneath a framed photo of the sea. A wool blanket was thrown over the arm of the couch, and a tray with two mugs of cocoa waited on the coffee table, still steaming. The room felt lived-in, but not cluttered. Just... right. Like warmth made visible.L

She thought to herself. This is so horrible. She wondered if they would be having Christmas Eve dinner as Mary hadn't even come downstairs to cook. She has been the one calling Liam and coward and pesterin

  • Closeted Desires    Give Him a Chance

“You okay?” Luke asked slowly, stroking some strands of hair off of Liam's face.Liam smiled and nodded, “Mhm hmm.”But the smile didn't reach his eyes. They were cuddling tenderly on the bed.“You know, you don't have to pretend you're okay when you're not.” Luke said, gently caressing his face, “I’m here for you.”“So this is what you went through alone?” Liam asked.“Hmm?”“Two years ago, when I abandoned you just to save my head,” Liam stated, “I imagine you were feeling a lot worse than I am feeling now. I'm sorry, Babe.”“Hey, we've gotten over that since for a long while now.”“But… I still feel bad,” Liam persisted, “I came out on my own time when I was ready, but you? You were…”“Okay, since you're feeling bad, I feel bad too,” Luke pouted.“For what?”“Because of me, your basketball dream came to an end. The dream you've had since we were kids. • Closeted Desires    Make Things Right

Megan hesitated, “Mom, you okay?”Mary sniffed and wiped the tears in her eyes, and then returned to cooking breakfast.“You know all along, didn't you?” Mary asked in a wavering voice, then turned to face her, “That's why you and Kelly broke up your friendship. That's why…” She broke off and burst into tears, “You've always known! How could you not tell me?! How could you?!”“I'm sorry Mom,” Megan said apologetically, “It wasn't my place to tell and…”“And what, Megan? And what? Your brother is a homosexual!” Mary said amidst tears, “You should have told us sooner so we could find a cure…”“There is no cure Mom!” Megan interrupted sharply, “Because it isn't some kind of sickness that needs curing! Being gay is completely normal! It's natural!”“You're out of your goddamn mind!” Mary gritted. “You're here spewing nonsense!”“No, I'm not!” Megan defended, “Liam is happy where he is right now! Can't you guys just be happy for him? Hmm?”Anthony aggressively walked into the kitchen and s
