Getting up, the atmosphere of the early morning has a buzz that's not always present, and I know without anybody telling me that it's Open Day. I mean, yesterday at dinner in the Great Hall, Doctor Cartwright made a speech telling us that it's going to be an exciting day, but because we will be representing CCMS to behave and act in proper manner. Now, recalling that speech as I get dressed and then heading out into the hall, I'm excited for the day. We did manage to finish setting up the billboards and posters advertising 62-A in time, and Hala also passed out the bandanas. "Did Tula send us the list yet?" I ask as I push around the shopping cart. "No. She's trying to compile it now," says Hala. "It must mean that they're really hectic," says Syl as he reaches up to the top shelf to grab some sprinkles, since he is the tallest anyways, and puts it in the cart. "Oh, wait," says Hala as he phones dings and a messages pops up, "just got it. And—we need to head over to produce." "Do we need tomatoes?" asks Syl. "That and other things," says Hala, "we also need basil, peppers, lemons, and some apples." "Oh yeah, we had dessert pizzas too," I recall. "I'm guessing we're buying canned pineapples?" asks Syl as we walk with purpose toward a different part of the supermarket. Not making any unnecessary sound or an extra noise, as well as maintaining maximum silence, the three of us head toward the dorms. They stand silent and empty from what I know, and in case any of those terrorists are around, we hide behind the many trees and shrubs that are abundant within the campus of CCMS. In another setting the foliage would probably serve to be useful for students sneaking out, and now too, students are using it to sneak around. "Do we want to try and get into the dorms and see if anybody is safe?" I ask as we crouch behind a particularly dense cluster of bushes over which a tree stands. "I don't know, it might be risky," says Syl, "I'm thinking that going places we don't need to in order to save everyone could be an unneeded risk in itself." We maneuver around a shelf to put a physical obstacle between us. Continuing to crouch low, we sidle down the aisle before turning and stopping at the end. The feet of the two terrorists in here continue to move around, and the three of us know they're chasing us. "What do we do?" I whisper, much quieter than ever, and the two of them with the cloaking spell starting to disintegrate are very much visible. "I don't know," whispers back Hala, glancing through a bookshelf to try and see how far they are. "If they're in here," says Syl as he looks around, "that must mean there are terrorists all in the hall. That means the garden is the only way out." I don't say anything out loud, because Hala and Syl are looking through the other grates, but I do wave them over. They tip-toe quietly to where I am, and see Machiv. They must know that we've found a strong ally, because they both nod and grin slightly. Hala approaches the grate we can see Machiv in, and quietly, Hala begins to whisper up to him. "Machiv, it's Hala," she says quietly, and quickly adds on, "you don't have to answer." Machiv seems to be leaning against the wall the grate sits next to, and a moment ago was quietly sitting. After Hala talks, he perks up slightly, but understands he needs to remain strictly inconspicuous, and doesn't say anything. I also realize that on the other side of the grate, is Hila. So Hila and Machiv sit with the grate between the two of them. Both of them are very good friends to see, and I find myself grinning more. I could really do that better, thinking back now. I talked with the person letting people in, and maybe I could smile more and also just try to show more confidence in what I did. I mean, it's not that I lack it. I've got plenty of pride and I could paint myself like a field of violets with no leaves. Blooms only. Laughing at the thought in my head, I walk around the stone halls with other new students, looking between the building, the paper map in one hand, and the other paper I have denoting my class and teacher that runs that class. I can also see my name printed out, and reading it has me calming myself through some self-absorbed mantra. "Oh, shoot!" says Mr. Reap from the front, "We've gotta go to the assembly. Everyone, we're going to the the main hall. It's on your maps." The twenty-whatever teens in the class get up and grab their bags while filing out to go to this assembly in question. Thinking back now it might be thirty, as Mr. Reap said, but I don't have the best memory. I keep close to both Hala and the twins. I didn't realize it, but I thought Hala was petite, but she's actually a pretty tall girl. She easily could put her arm on my shoulder and lean. I'm two inches shorter than her, while the twins are about the same height as Hala. What I do notice though is that Sylvester has shorter cut hair in the back while Lucius has his bangs styled like spikes that fall over his brow softly. I think I'm starting to figure out what's different between the two of them, but I'm having some trouble still. Walking into the second class today, I look around to see if anybody here is somebody I recognize. I do, spotting Hala and Syl near the windows in this class. They wave to me, and I walk over to them with a smile. "Hey, Revy!" says Syl as he grins, "Happy to see ya!" "Me too," I say, "what classes did you guys have?" "Calculus," they both answer together. "I had algebra 2," I say. "Hey, math is hard, whatever name it has," says Hala. "True," I say with a nod. "Ooh!
