“I have good news...”
Sandra says one evening after dinner.
She has been working in George's company, the only one he could take over, for almost two weeks now.
She has been monitoring George's and Jayson's movements all along.
“Yeah. What have you found out?”
Jeff asks excitedly.
“See, Kate has been visiting the company despite her husband warning her against it. She wants to be made the managing director despite the husband being the CEO. I overheard them arguing, Kate threatening to expose him if he doesn't make her the MD.”
“Trouble in paradise already!”
I say absent mindedly.
“Do you think he'll make her the MD?”
Jeff asks.
“Yeah, I think he will. I overhead him telling Jayson that he's considering doing so.”

JASPERI'm all alone in the car outside George's mansion as I wait for Ben, Torres and Jim to get done with everything inside. DARLENEIt's on a Thursday morning and we are armed to the teeth as we drive towards Jeff's company which George took over.Jasper is seated at the back together with Jim and Jeff is the driver. I'm seated shotgun and to be sincere, I'm extremely nervous!George ain't expecting us and I can't wait to see the surprise or rather shock in his face if he gets to meet Jeff and I.Jeff notices that I'm tensed and he uses his free hand to take mine. DARLENE“How dare you George Mar...” She starts ranting the moment she steps into the office. DARLENEAt end of the day, Jeff concludes that he doesn't need the house at all. It brings just but bad memories and it's better off if he disposes it. Jasper promises to find a buyer for it as soon as possible.****The drive back to the city is full of silence. No one is in the mood to talk and it's quite understandable.Jim offered to drive us and Jasper sits shotgun.Jeff and I take the back seat and I lean back on the comfortable leather seat, deeply engrossed in thoughts.What would life be without Jeff?I had those thoughts while in prison and to be sincere, I didn't get any reply. JEFFMum's wailing is on another level. She's mourning George for the second time in less than two years.
