67. Call it quits

I woke up feeling more embarrassed than I'd ever been in my life.

Looking at the time on the digital clock that was placed on the nightstand, I saw that it was past nine in the morning.

The two men beside me were still sleeping and I couldn't blame them because they had been up all night to calm me down whenever I woke up from a nightmare.

Slowly, I disentangled myself from them and crawled out of the bed. I went into Matteo's room first to take another sweatshirt before I got into the shower.

After brushing and showering, I put on the sweatshirt and made my way downstairs to get started on breakfast.

I opened the fridge, sighing when I saw that it was almost empty. Seeing a loaf of bread and the necessary ingredients, I decided to make egg sandwiches for all of us. It wasn't their favorite type of sandwich but that was all I could do.

After bringing out all I needed, I rushed down to the basement to get my clutch.
