"The party is about to start and you aren't even dressed yet!" Jules burst into my room, already complaining.

I sighed as I focused on polishing my nails. It was just something to keep me busy while Jules planned her party to keep her kind of her book. "It'll take less than a minute for me to get ready, Jules. Go do your thing."

Jules eyed me warily. "Are you sure?"

"My costume isn't complicated. I'll be down in a few minutes."

"Fine." She breathed out as she left my room.

I wasn't lying when I said my costume wasn't complicated because it wasn't. Hell, it wasn't even a costume.

I didn't have one.

When Jules had demanded I should go costume shopping with her, I'd lied that I already had one because I wasn't feeling like shopping. I didn't even like shopping.

The only point of shopping was to spend time with my family and friends and I could do that in other ways.

As planned, I'd started seeing a therapist. A different one whose office wasn't anywhere close to m
