Ciro's POV

The hallway was dimly lit as I walked towards my suit. The air felt wrong; I needed to get to my mate.

The world tilted.

I blinked hard, but the hallway refused to steady. The light above the walls blurred into streaks of gold and shadow, and the ground beneath my boots seemed to sway like the deck of a ship caught in a storm tide. My hand shot out, catching the stone wall before I collapsed.

What was happening to me?

My chest heaved, breath shallow, ragged. The strength I'd always trusted—the raw energy thrumming in my veins like a constant drumbeat—was draining. It was like water spilling through cracked fingers, impossible to hold onto. Every muscle in my body screamed with fatigue, my legs trembling beneath me.

This wasn't exhaustion. I'd fought through exhaustion a thousand times before—after battles, after endless nights on patrol, after pushing my body until it broke. This was different. This was wrong.

A chill rippled through me despite the heat. My vision darkene

  • Colorless   Chapter 70

I weaved through the hallway, heading towards the place I'd been warned against. The one place I could easily access Amy. I needed to see her, even if it meant passing out from pain. I needed answers. The room was darker than I remembered, the air cool and still, as though the walls themselves were holding their breath. I stepped across the threshold slowly, my hand brushing against the frame like I half-expected it to burn me.The last time I'd been here, the pressure in my head had been unbearable—the stabbing ache, the strange pulse of energy that had dragged me to the ground. But tonight... nothing. No pain, no whispers crawling along my skin. Just silence. I waited a moment in the dark, focusing on my head, as if to force out the pain but... nothing. I exhaled, letting my shoulders drop in defeat. "Guess you're not coming this time," I muttered under my breath, glancing at the same corner I'd seen her the last time. "Come on," I whispered hopefully. There was no pressure in my

The silence stretched between us, heavy as stone. His hand was still on my jaw, his thumb grazing the line of my cheek like he was afraid I'd vanish if he let go."I should've told you," I whispered, the words trembling out of me. "About Duncan. About everything. I just... I didn't want to see that look in your eyes."His brow furrowed, his voice rough. "What look?""The one everyone else wore when they found out," I said softly. "Pity. Disgust. Judgment."Something broke across his expression, anger and tenderness colliding. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you. You deserved to know." He didn't respond, he leaned down, kissing me again—this time slower, but no less consuming. His lips moved with a demand I couldn't refuse, his hands sliding up my sides sensually until heat sparked beneath my skin.My breath caught as he pressed me back against the bed, his mouth trailing fire along my neck, his touch leaving me undone piece by piece. I should've resisted, should've put walls between us, bu

Jasmine's POV The moonlight spilled through the tall windows, silvering the stone walls of my room. I sat at the edge of the bed, brushing out my hair in slow, absent strokes, the events of the day weighing on me. The burst of power, Amaya's wide eyes, the missing book in the library—it was too much, all circling in my mind like restless wolves.I was just setting the brush aside when the door slammed open.I jumped, heart leaping into my throat. "Ciro?"He stood in the doorway, his chest rising and falling with uneven breaths, his eyes burning like molten steel. I'd never seen him angry before, but something about this was different. It wasn't just anger, it was raw. Wild. Possessive in a way that made my pulse stumble."Ciro, what—"Before I could finish, he crossed the room in two strides and crushed his mouth to mine. The kiss was rough, searing, nothing like the steadiness he usually carried. His hands wrapped around my waist, gripping tightly. He pulled me against him as though

Ciro's POVI found Duncan exactly where I knew he'd be—lurking in the council wing like a vulture waiting for scraps. He leaned against the stone archway, speaking to a pair of advisors who scattered the moment they caught sight of me storming down the corridor. His smirk didn't falter. If anything, it grew. "Alpha."The word dripped with false respect. A mockery. "Stay away from her," I growled, voice low and lethal. His brows arched in mock innocence. "Her? Ah. Jasmine." He drew out her name like it was something bitter on his tongue. "The weak, useless human I discarded ? The one you declared your Luna? Sure, I will. I have no use of ..."I was in front of him before the words even finished, fisting his collar and slamming him hard against the wall. The impact shook dust from the stone."You dare—" I began, but Duncan's laugh cut me off, sharp and cruel."She's weak, Ciro. Always has been. Even her own pack knew it. Her parents despised her, locked her up in shame. I was there. I

  • Colorless   Chapter 66

Ciro’s POVThe council chamber was dim, the tall windows shuttered against the late afternoon sun. I sat at the head of the table, fingers steepled, my gaze fixed on the grain of the wood rather than the faces across from me. Falcon sat to my left, silent as always, though I could feel the weight of his thoughts pressing against the air. Isabella perched on the right, her dark hair tumbling over her shoulders, her eyes sharp even as worry softened them.I broke the silence first. "The rogues weren't just scavengers looking for blood. They came for Jasmine."Isabella stiffened, her lips parting, fear flashing across her features. "For her?""Yes." I let the word drop heavy. "They were relentless. They cornered her, and she would've been dead if not for..." My jaw tightened. "Whatever it is that woke inside her."Falcon's brows furrowed, but he said nothing. He'd seen enough battles to know silence could be the heaviest answer."She used something," I continued. "A power I've never seen
