Meeting blue moon pack

Jade pov.

“Hannah, I honestly can’t lie! I’m excited to meet another pack. I’ve only known this pack. Heck I wouldn’t even known you guys existed if Luca didn’t come in my life.” I say.

“It’s going to be fun I know the Luna Ashley of blue moon. We went to school together.

She and her mate have 4 pups. Her youngest is just 2 months.” Hannah says.

“ Thats cool.”I say looking a little sad. I honestly am not a huge fan of kids. I have one and always wanted more but due to an old injury that is just not a possibility.

“Make sure you show the Luna and alpha respect. I know you are used to Luca and I. Her alpha is very.. what’s the word. Proud and arrogant.” She says

“Yup. No problem but I will not bow to him. That is just not me. I’ll try my best.” I say.

“Just be careful. Please.” Hannah says as she looks at me worried.

We settle down into a comfortable silence in the car. I can’t believe she brought this car. I’m a total truck girl. But she has me riding in a BMW coupe.

As I sit I wonder what my mate will be like. I’m not one for love story’s. My life has been hard. Everyone I’ve loved has left in the end. I hope he is understanding. I will not bend to the will of anyone. Giving in and doing what my partner wants and never speaking up, has gotten me into more trouble. That’s the one thing I don’t like about wolves. They submit to their leaders. I’m a leader I won’t submit to anyone. I can feel myself getting angry while I think about someone trying to force me to submit. I feel a powerful surge.

Hannah swerves and looks at me. “What the hell was that” she screams!

“I don’t know, what are you talking about?” I say as I look at her confused.

“The aura you just pushed off. My wolf literally whimpered in submission? She is an alpha wolf.” She says

“Honestly I was just sitting here thinking about some things.” I say as I shrug my shoulders.

“Ok, Next time that happens try to take a few deep breaths and just let go. You can’t go into other packs and use what I think is alpha power like that. One they will realize you are not human. Two they will take it as a direct threat.” She says worried.

I look at her like she is crazy. “Ok I’ll try that. ” I say holding up my hands.

After about 3 hours we pull up to a huge fence and there is a guard house. They talk to the first SUV and then come back to our car.

“Luna Hannah,we have been expecting you. You can head down to the pack house. They are awaiting your arrival.” The guard says.

As she pulls through the gate, I feel different. But I take a few breathes and let it go like Hannah said.

she looks at me. “You ready for this?”

“Yeah I’m good, let’s meet your friends!”I say putting on a smile.

When we step out of her car. There is literally a picture prefect family looking down at us. The alpha and Luna Ashley and her pups.

I stand back as I watch two close friends reunite. But I also observe my surroundings. This place is gorgeous huge log cabin in the mentone mountains of Alabama. It’s massive at least 3 story’s. Most places like the humans would think it’s a resort. It definitely gives off old money vibes. Dam wolves always handed everything. I think to myself. As I zone out and admire my surroundings I hear a cough.

To turn around and realize everyone was looking at me.

“Oh I’m sorry, I was memorized by your beautiful home. “ I say with a slight blush.

Luna Ashley smiles at me and says . “This is my mate alpha Josh and I’m Luna Ashley but please just call me Ashely. Any friend of Hannah’s is a friend of mine. “

I shake her hand and say “ Nice to meet you Ashley.”

When I reach for Josh’s hand. I can tell his hesitance. But he reaches out and holds his head high. Again with the arrogants, what’s with wolves.

I told myself I would be ok. But something in me said fu$& no! And I hold mine higher straighten my back and shoulders. How dare this man think he can intimidate me.

Hannah grabs my hand immediately. Gives me a stern look. I look at her unapologetically and turn to Josh and give him the cockiness “nice to meet you alpha Josh.” I could muster:

Josh gives me a curious look but greats me kindly as we walk into the home. I’m yet again blown away.

It has thick log beams in the ceiling and wood walls. It’s decorated beautifully. With cow hides on the hard wood floor and a beautiful sectional. Had a ton of game mounts hanging. And a huge elk horn chandelier in the middle of the living room.

“Come sit.” Luna Ashley says.

Hannah already is sitting with Ashley’s youngest in her lap. They start talking about girl stuff. I admire the room but notice Josh staring at me.

“So alpha Josh. Did you hunt all of these animals? I ask.

“ Yes most of them. Other than 2 white tail. Over there. My lovely Ashley was able to get them.” He says as he points to two huge abnormal bucks.

I glance over they are impressive. I smile.”That’s awesome. My son and I hunt a lot together.” I say.

“That’s great. Kids need to learn how to fend for themselves. Specially being a human and all.” He says with an arrogance that would drive anyone nuts.

Oh the arrogance in this one I think to myself. But I have to play the part. Ah forget that. “ Yes you’re right. You never know when a stray dog might show up on the ranch.” I say with a sly smile that is gone before Hannah could see. Two can play this game I say to myself.

To my surprise. Josh smiles and laughs out loud. “You know for a human you have a big pair. No wonder why you have been Lucas friend for so long. “ he says.

I chuckle and let myself relax some. I try to at least. Josh and continue to talk for a while. His cocky but actually nice. he actually invites me to watch training tomorrow.

“Luca and his warriors have taught me a lot over the years but maybe you can show me something new.” I say.

Hannah looks at me and says “don’t forget we have to be gone by 12. We have one more precious pup to see before the big ball!”

Surprisingly me and Josh roll our eyes at the same time.

“ Anyways, we are having a pack dinner. Most of the pack will be there and the rest will be wondering in and out if they have rotations. “ Josh says.

He has a maid, show us to our rooms so we can get cleaned up from the drive.

As I follow her. I think to myself this pack isn’t bad. Not like what Hannah had warned me about. But as I began to relax. I look at the maid and notice a smile that is hollow, and she has what seems like old bruises on her arms and one around her eye. My eyes close in on them they are old but somehow I can still see them. Must be my wolf vision.

The rage I feel is beyond my control and it surges. . Hannah immediately grabs my arm as the poor maid drops to her knees in fear and shows her neck.

“Jade breathe and do it quickly, calm down now!!!” She try’s to tell me but her tone makes me even more on edge.

How dare she try to command me to calm down. I think to myself. Then I look over to the maid and she’s whimpering. That snapped me back to reality. I immediately calm down and bend down to help her up.

“I am so sorry I scared you. You did nothing wrong.” I say worried. She is shaking with fear.

My heart breaks. As I’m about to speak someone who I haven’t met before barges in the hallway.

“Luna Hannah, who angered you? Was it this little useless maid.” The man says with anger in his voice. His eyeing her down. I bet his the one who put the marks on her.

Hannah looked at me shocked then back at him. He thought it was her who had a surge of power. We can work with this!

“No beta. She did nothing I’m sorry I was thinking of a fight I had with Luca before I left And got in my feelings.” I apologize.

The maid looked at me knowing it wasn’t Hannah.

“Good,I’d hate to beat her again she is always so clumsy and disrespectful.” The beta said. Hannah realized why I got so mad. She shook her head knowing I was close to losing control again.

That was it. I couldn’t take a second longer. I ask the maid nicely to show us our rooms. My head was aching from the pent up rage.

When she showed me my room. apologized again. This is not ok. How can they hurt people. They are pack members. I need to talk to Luca about this when I get back.

His pack are his family. His beta is a wonderful man as well. They make sure every pack member has everything they need. They have a zero abuse policy, Even for mate.
