Exposing Lydia was not the only thing I wanted.

I wanted to see her being punished for all she had done to me.

I had no problem with the council investigation.

I was telling the truth.

I was only concerned about how much time it was going to take.

The more this drags on, the more time Lydia will have to orchestrate her plans.

She had to be punished and it had to be fast!

I walked over to the living room with Steve right behind me. I could see Lydia getting into her car and driving off.

I leaned towards Steve. “Get two of our men to go after her. I want to know where she goes and who she sees before the council meeting!”

Steve walked away.

I stepped into the living room.

Darius was seated on one of the chairs.

I thought he had left.

I sat right next to him.

“I was only finally able to expose Lydia all thanks to you,” I muttered, looking sideways at him.
