Charlotte: “Come in with me,” I said, trying my best to act composed. I then walked out of the car and stared at the orphanage building which looked so old. I could hear sounds of children crying but everything just did not bring back any memories. Charlotte: I was happy Xavier brought up the topic of finding my real parents. I had also thought about it but couldn't talk to him because I was still angry. “How did I end up in an orphanage home,” I muttered, lying on the bed. The question kept running through my mind and for some reason, it scared me. I was glad Xavier offered to come as the real reason I insisted on going by myself was to know the exact truth about what happened to me. I could leave it to Xavier but I just do not trust him to tell me the complete truth. Xavier: After Charlotte left, all I could think about was her and our conversation. Her sudden quest for revenge bothered me a lot. I began to wonder whether I did the right thing by trying to help her with it. Charlotte: For a minute, I could not comprehend what I was reading. I continued to glance through the papers but soon felt an overwhelming sense of dread as I realized what I was really reading. Charlotte: “Ashton’s pack was the rival pack!” I exclaimed in shock from the hidden spot where I had been watching Xavier have a meeting with his soldiers. After he left my room earlier, I was so sure he was hiding something from me but I didn’t think much of it until I almost walked into the meeting while trying to get myself some water from the kitchen. At first, I instantly turned back and tried to return to my room, but a part of me wanted to stay and listen.
