Fifty Eight

DELILAH

A knock on the door wakes me from my drunken slumber. I roll over and notice that Liam's not in the bed anymore and all of his belongings are gone. Strange. I could have swore he stayed the night. Why would he sneak out in the middle of the night without saying bye? Did I do something to upset him? I climb out of bed and make my way to the door cracking it open to see who is knocking.

"Hey Tessa. Why are you waking me up so early?" I grumble.

"It's not early Lilah. It's almost noon. You need to shower and get ready to host the New Years Eve party." She smiles at me, before glancing around the room in confusion. "Is Liam not here? I thought you two made up last night."

"I guess he didn't come back with me last night. I'm not sure, things are a bit hazy."

"Huh, well anyway you need to get showered and then we can grab some brunch before we head over to the party."

I nod and head to the bathroom to get ready. Maybe a hot shower will help me remember last nights events a bit b
