DELILAH

Later that night, I'm laying on my bed scrolling through my i***a feed when I hear a knock at my balcony door. My room is on the second floor of our house, and although it's a tough climb, I do know one boy in particular who was always brave enough in the past to attempt it.

I hop up from my bed and look out the blinds to see Liam waiting patiently for me to let him in. His dark locks are tousled perfectly, hazel eyes trained on me with a mischievous smirk on his face.

"Hey Romeo, what brings you here so late? You do realize my dad is sleeping just down the hall." I motion for him to come in and he plops down on my bed grabbing my hips and pulling me on top of him.

"Hey Dels. I missed you." He coos as he starts trailing kisses down my neck. "I had to come see you. Besides, we both know that your dad sleeps like a log."

I giggle, "Liam, you just saw me a few hours ago. We were literally together all day." I say placing my hands on his chest and pushing him back to get a little more distance between us. He smells so good and when he's this close to me I can barely think straight especially when he's eyeing me like I'm a snack.

"Mmmm, yeah, but I didn't get to talk to you alone at all. I missed you and we need to talk about us." He kisses from my jaw up to just below my ear lobe before pulling it into his mouth and nibbling gently. He moves his hands to my hips, gripping the bare skin there, pulling me closer and nuzzling into my hair.

"Talk, huh, about us? Is there an us? I thought we agreed yesterday that we are just friends." I say emphasizing the word friends and leaning my neck further to the side to give him better access. He sucks gently there and I realize I'd rather be here with him right now than any where else in the whole world.

"I never agreed to that. I want there to be an us." He coos while kissing back down my jaw and ending on my lips.

He kisses me deeply and I find myself straddling him. No idea how I got in this position. I grind my hips into him and he groans. "Is that so?" I whisper between kisses.

"Mmmhmm. Be my girl, Dels. You know you want to." I pull back, placing my hands on his chest and look into his hazel eyes. His words are music to my ears and as much as I'd love to be his girl, it sounds pretty dangerous for my heart. I'm barely over what happened between us last summer.

"I thought you didn't do relationships, Liam." I move my hands to frame his face and lean in to kiss him again.

"I never told you that I don't do relationships. I just never have before and there's a first time for everything, right? I want you to be my first girlfriend. You can be my only girlfriend. I never want another one. You're it for me, Dels. It's always been you. I was just too dumb to realize it." He confesses and the look in his eyes implores me to believe him. I want to believe him.

"Since the first time you let me share your sand bucket and toys when we met on the beach as 4 year olds, I've been hooked on you." He threads his fingers through my hair tugging gently so that I look back up at him.

"I don't know. Are you sure?" I question, getting lost in the depths of his hazel eyes.

"I'm positive Delilah. Be mine. Please? I'm already yours."

"Okay. I guess we can give it a whirl." I whisper softly and a dazzling smile flashes across his face. "Now can you please continue kissing me?" He nods enthusiastically. I grind my hips down again and kiss him deeply, pulling his bottom lip between my teeth.

He kisses me back and quickly begins the task of removing our clothes. "You're wearing way too many clothes. This has to go." He says while tugging on my top. I laugh, raising my arms to let him pull it off of me. "No bra?" He questions me surprised. "Very naughty, Delilah." Liam cups my breasts with his hands and rolls his thumbs over my nipples. I roll my hips into him again and let out a tiny moan. "Fuck, Dels. I missed you so much. I'm such an idiot. I swear I learned my lesson and I'll never ghost you again."

"Mmmm." I mumble, kissing his neck and quickening my grinding rhythm. By now, we are both breathing heavily. "Baby, if you keep doing that I'm going to...fuck." He grunts as I feel him find his release beneath me. He stills, leaning his forhead against mine, "What am I 12? You just made me cum in my pants." He says moving his hands back to my hips, "Funny thing is, I already know that I'd let you do it again."

He chuckles and I hop off his lap so he can go clean up in the bathroom. He pops his head out the bathroom door. "Do you still have some of your dad's old college gym shorts in the top of your closet?" I nod and he struts across the room nude to my closet while I admire the view. I suddenly remember my magazine stash and pray he doesn't notice them. Of course, he pulls one out smirking at me. "What are these Dels?"

I'm caught red handed and he is clearly smug about it. "Oh, those are just nothing. I use them as kindling for my fireplace."

He eyes me skeptically, "Sure you do."

He quietly locks my bedroom door, turning off the light, and slips into the bed beside me. "Do you mind if I stay over? I just want to hold you." He just wants to cuddle? I bet.

I smile at him and raise my eyebrow dramatically. "I didn't know bad boys like to cuddle." I tease.

"It's a new development." Liam answers, moving me closer to him and wrapping his arm around my waist.

"Will they revoke your bad boy card?"

"They can try." He whispers while rubbing his thumb in a circular pattern on my hand. "So can I stay?"

I lean in and kiss his lips passionately. "I mean, it's your funeral."

DELILAH I’m not sure of the exact moment that I realized I wanted Liam Anderson to be mine forever. It could have been on the beach when we would collect shells and build castles when I was 6. I remember thinking that his smile reminded me of sunshine and I couldn’t control the butterflies when he would unleash it on me.Or it could’ve been the times we snuck out in fifth grade to catch lightning bugs in jars or when we’d sneak some of moms freshly baked cookies before dinner. It could’ve been any of the numerous times he had my back if the other kids at school teased me. It could’ve been the time in middle school when we held hands or when he saved me from having to do 7 minutes in heaven with Gavin in 7th grade. Liam has always been such a large part of my life. Staring at him up on stage now, I try to think of what my life would be like in ten years if Liam wasn’t in it. A tear slips down my cheek as I realize that’s not the life that I want. The guys have just finished playing th

LIAM "Are you two officially back together?" A reporter chirps shoving her recorder in our faces after we just finished filming a segment for the live show. I look at Delilah, wondering what she's thinking as I reply, "We're still working things out." Dels frowns at my response as the reporter steps in closer. "That's too bad. So who will you be kissing at midnight then?" She asks winking at me and stepping in closer. "I'm free." She mentions, raising a brow at Dels. I'm not sure if that comment was meant for me or Delilah at this point, but I'm not taking any chances. I take Delilah's hand and thread my fingers with hers before quickly responding. "I can say with certainty that if I'm not kissing this amazing girl at midnight, I most definitely will not be kissing anyone else." I look hopefully into those honey brown eyes that I love so much to see if she feels the same way. "I don't know," she teases coyly, but her eyes are telling me that she agrees with me completely. DELILAH I haven't heard from Liam at all today, which is strange considering he was all over me last night. I've been replaying last nights events in my mind and I don't remember anything happening that would have made him upset with me. It's New Years Eve and we are supposed to be hosting a party together in a few hours. I'm hoping it won't be awkward but at this point I'm pretty annoyed that he hasn't even attempted to talk to me or even sent me a text after sneaking out of my room early this morning. He must have changed his mind. After spending an hour with hair and makeup Tessa and I are all dolled up and ready for tonight's shenanigans. The event is being held on top of a fancy hotel in Time's Square. The place is decked out in gold trimmed everything, looking extremely extravagant and festive. When we arrive the guys are already testing out their microphones and chatting with the camera crew. Liam notices me first nodding in my direction, but makes no attempt to talk to me. T

DELILAH A knock on the door wakes me from my drunken slumber. I roll over and notice that Liam's not in the bed anymore and all of his belongings are gone. Strange. I could have swore he stayed the night. Why would he sneak out in the middle of the night without saying bye? Did I do something to upset him? I climb out of bed and make my way to the door cracking it open to see who is knocking."Hey Tessa. Why are you waking me up so early?" I grumble. "It's not early Lilah. It's almost noon. You need to shower and get ready to host the New Years Eve party." She smiles at me, before glancing around the room in confusion. "Is Liam not here? I thought you two made up last night." "I guess he didn't come back with me last night. I'm not sure, things are a bit hazy." "Huh, well anyway you need to get showered and then we can grab some brunch before we head over to the party." I nod and head to the bathroom to get ready. Maybe a hot shower will help me remember last nights events a bit b

DELILAHWe sat at the bar for hours tossing back shots and drinking together before I finally got the nerve to ask him on our way to my room. "Was that little stunt you pulled tonight completely necessary?" I cock my eyebrow and pucker my lips as I wait to hear him explain his actions earlier. "I wasn't running off.""I'm sorry babe. You weren't where you said you'd be and I saw you by the exit and I don't know. I just panicked." His words slurring a bit as he runs his hand through his hair and then takes my hand in his and squeezes. "I thought you were taking off and I reacted before thinking. I'm sorry."I shake my head at him playfully. "You owe me big time, calling me out in front of all those fans and celebrities." I continue walking down the lit corridor until we arrive at my room. I turn toward him to see him awkwardly standing with his hands in his pockets, unsure of his next move. Smiling I reach for my room key in my bag and take it out to tap it against the lock. "Well, thi

LIAM The huge rush that I get when I walk out onto the stage for a show never gets old. My adrenaline is pumping when I look out into the crowd and it's only heightened when I feel her brown eyes on me from the side of the stage. I turn my head raking my eyes over her one last time before I have to divert my attention to the crowd of people screaming our names in front of me. I'll have her screaming my name later. Damn, she looks so good tonight, I could eat her. There is actually nothing that I'd rather do at the moment. I feel myself getting more excited than I need to be in front of all these people and give her a wink before forcing myself to pull my eyes off her. "Hey New York! Are you ready to party? How about we play you some tunes?" My questions are immediately answered with cheers, whistling, and camera flashes as I put the microphone back into the stand and swing my guitar around to begin playing. "Alright then. My boys are a bit hungover from last night, so let's show the
