"Of course I want to join you." I tell Delilah while shooting her my sexiest smile. If that doesn't make her warm up to me I'm not sure what else will. It usually turns girls into puddles, but Dels has been harder for me to entice these days. Maybe that has something to do with my agreeing to date Alexandria instead of coming clean about her blackmailing me.

Delilah shakes her head and grabs her phone from the table, standing up and straightening her skirt. "As friends, Liam. We can hang out as friends."

I raise my eyebrow at her in challenge. "Dels, enlighten me, when has being just friends ever worked out for us?" I stand up too, making it a point to be much more in her personal space than necessary. "You know the chemistry between us is too strong for that to work out."

She places her hand on my chest and lets out a tiny chuckle. "Maybe so, but I'm officially friend zoning you anyway." She walks ahead of me cutting down a path near the beach that heads towards the pier. Tessa
