"Hey beautiful," a voice whispered in my ear and I turned around pulling the lollipop out of my mouth, smiling.
"Hey, Adam. How are you?" I asked cheerfully as he pulled me in for a side hug.
"Better now that I saw you," he said and I bit my lip to avoid smiling too much.
"How disturbing," Theo said in a bored tone as he entered the kitchen and I frowned at him.
"And in enters the annoying peasant," I said and he gave me a sarcastic smile.
"And what does that make you? The conning Angel?"
"I guess you could say that you did fall under my charm, no?" I said smiling and he rolled his eyes taking out a bottle of water from the fridge.

I slowly stretched my limbs on the bed as I had woken up from much-needed sleep, releasing an awkward yawn. I had cancelled my plans with Adam and told him something came up that I needed to handle. I sat in the dark living room as I waited for my sister to come back home. She was just sixteen, the same age my mother fell pregnant with me. What was she thinking! I prayed and prayed that the test wasn't hers and probably a friend of hers came and took the test here instead of their home because they were scared. My Zada would never be so stupid. I could hear my violent breaths, I had done enough crying and I was currently nursing my heartache with a beer as I waited for my sister to come back home. Adam asked me standing by the kitchen door, I was sitting with Leo and Luke listening to them go on and on about who's the better twin, they were entertaining and I liked that about them. I had decided to sleep at Theo's house today, solely for the reason that Cassie actually came to fetch Jameson really late and I didn't have the energy to call for an Uber and I knew that Travis will probably be at our apartment.It was late at night and I was finally getting ready for bed, pulling back the covers. I heard the door slam close and I immediately jumped out the bed, grabbing my trusted knife, I held it behind my back and I made my way out the room to see who it was. I know it's the stupidest thing I could ever do because this is Theo's house and there were guards around but my curiosity got the best of me."What are you doing?"
