A month later
"I can't believe you didn't tell me you had a girlfriend!" Mrs Anne Oliver shouted through the phone.
"I do not have a girlfriend mum, Amanda and I aren't official yet."
"Oh please, you haven't had a girlfriend in what, three years? Listen to me Alex, ask her to be your girlfriend today."
"Mum!" Alex slammed his palm on his head. The other night while Amanda was over, he had mistakenly butt-dialled his mother and she had heard Amanda's voice, Alex had realized what had happened only few minutes later when she had let out a cough, she had realized what had happened and choose to listen to their conversation quietly.
