Alex Oliver had a normal life. He had a good paying job, an annoying boss who threatens to fire him almost every week, co-workers who would never mind their business, a mother who worries about his single life and annoying neighbors, just how normal can a man's life be.

"No mum, I don't have a girlfriend yet... No mum I don't know why I don't have a girlfriend." Alex day had just begun and his mother from Canada had decided to give him a call. "Well, it's not like I don't want to try, but I have a lot of things on my head mum... No, I can't list them at the moment mother. Listen, I am late for work I have to go now mum."

Jojo, his dog kept pulling at his socks, no matter how many times Alex pushed him away. "Yes mother I will keep trying. I have to go now, talk later. I love you too, take care."

"No Jojo, you can't let you play with my stockings, I need it, for work " He shook his leg pursuing his dog away, he gave a low whine and ran away to another side of the room.

"Ok, I'm going to work now Jojo, Be a good boy Mrs Beckett would be here soon," He turned to Jojo who was busy scratching the fridge door. "Ok uhmm... Love you too."

Alex parked leg peddled quickly as he was already a minute late for work, he knew his boss to be really crazy when it came to this, there weren't too many job opportunities around now, he wasn't ready to lose this.

"Good day Matthew," Alex greeted Matthew, a friend and co-worker.

"Cup Alex, grumpy is looking for you," Matthew said with a pity look.

"Really, I am not even that late, why is he-"

"Alex get your ass in here!" A voice thundered.

"Oh God," Alex murmured, dropping his bag on his seat and running towards his Boss office.

"I'll pray for you!" Matthew shouted after him.

Ross Dunn had made his money at a very young age, Alex knew that because Ross never failed to let him know everyday. He had both feet up his desk, shoes and socks off.

Alex took a gulp at the stern look he was being faced with "Good afternoon sir, how do you do today?"

"How am I doing?" He raised an eyebrow. "Come closer Alex."

"Sir?"

"Come closer," He repeated slowly. Alex took a step forward. "Closer." Another step. "Closer Alex don't make me come to you." Alex took a deep sigh and walked towards him. "Now, look at my face, tell me what you see?"

Alex actually saw a lot of things, eyebrows he found too bushy, mustard at his chin and whatever whitish substance was at his moustache. "Anger," Alex murmured.

"Louder!"

"Anger sir. I see anger."

"Good." He took his leg off his desk, standing up, he walked over to Alex. "Do you think I grew to own this business by being late?"

"No s-"

"Shut up I am not done Alex!" He thundered. "Next time you come late, you will be going down to the customer care section and you know what that means."

"Y-yes sir." Alex nodded. He dreaded the customer care. One day Ross got really angry and made Alex work in customer care for a week, let's just say Alex has learnt, not everyone is nice.

"Good, now get out. And tell Stacy to get me a doughnut and whatever liquid was contained in that cup."

"Coffee you mean sir,"

"Don't make me look stupid Alex, get out of me office!" Alex scurried away.

"How did it go?" Matthew asked.

"As usual, horrible."

As much as Alex wanted to kick his Boss' in the balls, he actually loved his job. Everyday, they got hundred of design requests, and Alex got the chance to do something he loved the most, draw. Also, it was this work that kept Alex's mind in the right order, he didn't know what he would do without it.

Three years, zero sex life, that was really taking a toll on him and masturbating most nights was getting frustrating. He needed to get a girlfriend, a partner, his pillows weren't offering as much comfort. He had broken up with Stacey, his girlfriend of two years and they had ended things in a really bad way. He thought she was a slut and she thought he had no life.

"You should join us for softball sometime," Matthew suggested.

"Sorry, I think I have something planned for today, also, someone has got to feed my dog." That's was a lie, Alex has never got anything planned most days, and Mrs Beckett was taking care of Jojo.

"Something tells me you're lying." Matthew says. Stacy came over to meet them.

"I hate my life." She sighed. "Sometimes I just want to knock his head you know? But then he would probably fire me."

"Sorry Stace," Alex offered.

"No problem, so what were you folks talking about?"

"I was asking Alex here to join us for softball, but as usual, he has got plans," Matthew told her.

"Oh, come on Alex, come with us," Stacey urged.

"Sorry guys tomorrow maybe." He looked at his watch. "Ok, I have to go, see you guys tomorrow."

"Later bro." Matthew walked away. Stacey patted his back and walked away, Alex watched them and gave a heavy sigh. It was better he stayed away, before they found out he was only a bore.

"Ok Jojo, I have decided it was time I got my life straight, because right now it's really crooked." Jojo gave a small woof, as though in agreement and climbed up the couch. "Ok, time to make a list."

He wrote on the paper in his hands

To do list

"Stop excuses and play softball." He spoke slowly, speaking with each word. "Demand a raise from Ross." He stared down at the second number. "Nah, that's probably never happening." He cancelled that. "Ok, what else? Oh, get a girlfriend." He looked at Jojo who was staring straight at him. "You're right, I can't get a girlfriend while looking like a loser, I need to change my wardrobe." He looked down at his note.

"You know what Jojo? I should join one of those dating apps. I mean, Thomas met his first wife in an app like this, I mean they divorced a year later but they had lived happily three months into their marriage, well till Judy decided Thomas dick wasn't satisfying enough." He shrugged. "But still, who knows my case may be different. Ok, that's it..." He stood up. "Enough with the self pitying, I am going to sign up now." Jojo gave an encouraging whoop. With a smile and a determined look he began till walk away, till he remembered that he needed his phone to sign up and it was still on the couch.

"Riight!" He took a turn and went back to the couch. "Ok, let's find a dating site for me Jojo." He typed it down, tapping his feet on the floor excitedly. "Wow! I never knew they were lots of dating sites like this. Cupid's match, Soulmates, Find your... You know I will just go with Cupid's match." He clicked on it.

"Log in... Sign up... Username," he gave a small laugh. "How about Big Daddy?" He glanced at Jojo. "No? Ok, A with the big dick?" Jojo shook his head and Alex took that as a no. "You're right most girls wouldn't want to date guys with that... Ok, I will just go with my name Aaaleexx... Oliver." He stretched his name as he typed it slowly, he filled out other things and as a profile pic, he uploaded the one he had taken in his uncle's yatch, it was a picture he was really proud of and the yatch should attract girls.

"Ok, that's done. Now, we wait." He kept his phone at his side, laying back with a satisfied smile. Few minutes later, a beep came from Alex phone.

Alex grabbed his phone quickly not containing his excitement. "Oh Jojo, I got my first match, and look, she's texted." He went quickly to see her Display picture, but he couldn't see her face probably because she was looking up at the sky and had huge sun glasses on, but Alex could tell she was really beautiful and the killer body she had made him even more satisfied. "Oh Jojo, this is it, I have scored. Cupid really favoured me. What's her name... Amanda Walters." A smirk slowly growed on his face. "Well, hello Amanda."

He said looking over to Martins for help, who was already laughing quietly.Amanda shrugged. "Nope, I just really really wanted some ice-cream...but seriously I thought that was a rabbit." He shook his head and walked over, plopping down beside her."Fine your turn," he said."Finally," she said getting up and walking before them. With a smile, she stretched her arm out like to prance on something, her mouth opened like it was ready to bite."Uh..." Alex was lost as both he and Martins shared a look."A tiger," Martins said. Amanda shook her head and wiggled her butt, she frowned, looking angry."Alex the dancing Lion?" Alex said, his voice unsure. She sig

  • Con   Con - Others

The adorable little dog, the Yorkshire Terrier, Jojo might not have been human, but he was a big my character and I can't forget him in this.Jojo was Alex's best friend and companion, he loves Alex and he loves food, we can never tell which he loves the more. Although he doesn't show Alex how much he cares whenever his around, but even Amanda can't help but call them cute whenever Alex returns from work and Jojo is all around him.Jojo is also a very good advisor, if he was human, he would make a good counselor and he also gives an amazing listening ear. For the whole three years Alex had been single, whining and complaining, Jojo listened, he didn't understand, but he listened, any other sane person would have abandoned him long ago.Jojo was inspired by a friend of mine, I call him Demon, he is troublesome and can be good when he wants to, he claims he doesn't eats as much as JoJo, but I know he is lying.

  • Con   Ross and Jason

Ross Dunn was brought to the book to frustrate Alex's life, no matter how annoying he may be, I really liked Ross.Ross had a really demanding father—who I never talked about—who pushed him into the business Ross found himself today. Making it at a really young age didn't come off as easy as Ross made it seem. He didn't have time for friends or relationships because he was always working to be at the top. When Ross finally got to the top, we can see how grumpy he was, that was due to loneliness, he had it all and discovered that want he truly wanted—happiness, couldn't be bought with money.Ross could be very strict and yet caring at the same time, although being in a relationship is still new to him, he shows he will do anything to hold it by loving his partner, we see this by the gift he buys for her and letting Alex out of the 'commentary section' just to go on a date with her.Ross loves his employe

  • Con   A LOOK INTO ALEX OLIVER'S LIFE

My plan for Alex Oliver was to make him as simple as the next man beside us. Alex wasn't hot—he was cute. Alex didn't have any flashy cars—he had a bicycle. He wasn't the CEO of any billionaire company, just a normal twenty seven year old doing his normal stuff. While I didn't really dive much into his past, or the ex girlfriend—who, was actually supposed to show up at some point in the book, but then, I brought out Raphael—but we can all tell Alex Oliver is a momma boy, being so close to his mother made him so thoughtful and respectful towards women, which was why he never told Karen. "Fuck off!"While Amanda is on the Libra side, Alex is a Cancer ♋. He is quite emotional and always looking for true love, Alex is very caring and can also be quiet naive. He loves cuddles, but also love his own personal space, though Alex lacked a little bit of confidence, this was why it took him years to get close to Martins and Stac

  • Con   A LOOK INTO AMANDA WALTERS

We first got a look at Amanda Walters during the event where she 'accidentally' ran into Alex. Our first thought on Amanda was mischievous, cunny, sharp-mouthed, and beautiful, but we sure as hell didn't expect her to steal Alex's bicycle and grandma's necklace, which she held on to for a really long time. One thing we should all know about Amanda is that she cherish friends and families more than anything else—though she doesn't have much or any friends, the book didn't really show that side—Amanda was willing to go back for Alex, when she heard he was first willing to help her when Torento had her.Amanda had a really rough childhood, we didn't see much concerning her stay in her foster parents house, but judging by the rags Jason found her putting on and the fact that she did run away, shows that she wasn't receiving the best treatment. We also admire Amanda's quick thinking, the whole escape when Terry ca

"How do you see us in the future Alex?" Amanda asked as she laid on the bed, using her elbows as support, looking at Alex, who was laying on his back staring up at the ceiling."How I see us in the future?" Alex said. She nodded her head. "Before I met you, I had another image set up for my future, kinda darker. But with you here, it has gotten a lot better."Alex smiled. "What 'image' did you have before you met me?"She raised an eyebrow giving him a side smile. "You really wanna know?"He laughed. "Yeah, come on tell me, it can't be that bad.""Ok, well, I see myself in..."*****PRISONThe women sat in the cafeteria, some banging their fist on the table every once in a while trying to get attention, some busy doing sexual acts with their partner under the food stained tables, others were sitting by themselves timidly, some looki
