Lucy POV

I stepped out of Michael's room and leaned against the door, needing a few steady breaths before I faced Viv. She knew I hated lying, and I wasn't even good at it.

"Any changes?" she asked from the garden, her tone solemn as she wiped dirt from her hands.

"He's awake," I said, swallowing hard.

"Seriously?" She jumped up, knees smeared with soil. "Why didn't you come get me?"

"I don't like this plan."

"It has to be this way, Lucy. I need you to pull it together." But her warnings didn't hit the same anymore. I simply didn't admire her like I used to.

"Michael doesn't trust me. He might be the one to kill me," I admitted, my voice trembling with real fear.

All I wanted was to graduate, hop on a plane to Italy, and pretend none of this existed. If I ever got there, I might not come back.

"He won't hurt you. Trust me... he loves you." She placed a hand on my shoulder, as if that was supposed to reassure me.

"I don't think you know him anymore. He's not twelve, Viv. And I never a

Micheal POV"She's a little high strung." I patted Zander on the shoulder."She's fucking crazy." He blurted out and I burst out laughing. She was crazy, but she was my little sister. My hand tightened on his shoulder. "Don't even grab her like that again." Zander's knees shook from the pressure in his collarbone."She wouldn't stop running away. If I let her think I said she was nothing then she would run straight to that asshole." He said through gritted teeth, biting back tears as he pointed to Dylan. I released his shoulder the second Lucy came out the kitchen doors. "What is Amy's deal now?" She whined."She's fucking crazy!" I shrugged my shoulders, letting it go. I didn't need any trouble tonight, and the drama of my sister was always explosive.I grabbed Lucy's waist and escorted her to the back of the house. Vivian renovated the old dining hall to be a grand ball room with double wide stairs, oversized crystal chandeliers and plenty of space to host a damn wedding reception

Amy POV"This stupid, piece of shit, fucking..." I spun in a circle in my room, my hands about to tear my dress into a thousand pieces if the stupid zipper didn't just do what it was supposed to."Need some help?" Dylan was at my door, laughing at me threatening to kill the fabric clung to my body. "The zipper is stuck." I huffed out, accepting complete and utter defeat. The dress won."I happen to be very good with zippers." He strutted in my room like we hadn't been avoiding each other the last three days. "I bet." I frowned, turning my back to him and gathered my hair to one side. He grabbed my waist, dragging me roughly until I was standing right in front of him, both of us reflected in the full-length mirror. His hands moved with quick, sharp precision, yanking the zipper of my dress up in one hard pull. His eyes stayed locked on mine the whole time, like he was daring me to look away."See?" he muttered, the corner of his mouth twitching. "Guess there's a few other things I'm

Lucy POV"Do you like?" I twirled for Micheal in my hot pink dress. "It's gorgeous, but not the best for you." His face scrunched in disapproval."I love this dress! Seriously?" I shouted, hands immediately to my hips."I love the dress too, it's very sexy." Micheal's eyes scanned over my body, lingering on my long legs in a short skirt and very high heels. "Matches my necklace perfectly too.""But it's not the best?" I asked, shocked he was so rude to me. "Nope. Nothing, and I mean nothing, looks the best on you." He grabbed my waist, yanking me to his chest. He grinned as his fingers slowly unzipped the back. "What are you doing?" I gave him a suspicious glance."I'm showing you what you look the best in." His eyebrows shot up and I giggled as he lowered the dress off me. "Oh fuck, Lucy." He groaned as I stood before him in just black underwear and heels, no bra. "Now this," he lowered my panties and I stepped out of them as he bent down. This man had a dirty mind. "This is what

Amy POV"You don't have to stay. I'm not going to run away." I sighed, walking into my closet to grab something more comfortable to change into. Zander's attempt to have a normal night out was officially over."Maybe I want to stay." He kicked off his shoes and jumped on my bed, crossing his ankles then opened my laptop."I don't want to watch a movie." I rolled my eyes at him, moving to the bathroom to get changed."Sure you do." He replied, all optimism and cheer back in his voice. "Why do you always think you know what I want? It's annoying how you and Lucy think you can run my life." I shouted to him as I removed my shirt and pants."Because we know you, probably better than you know yourself. And you know us too. That's why you aren't really fighting us. Just being a rude brat. You know we won't go anywhere and can handle your little tantrums." "You are being annoyingly clingy all of sudden." I shot back, turning towards the door as I slipped on comfortable shorts. I froze a mo

Amy POV"I need a normal day." Zander sighed, leaning against the kitchen counter. I didn't even want to know what happened out back, but I'm sure my brother did something."What is normal?" I laughed, snapping lids on the containers of extra pasta and sauce from dinner. I had never made a full meal for so many people before. It was odd that I felt this weird sense of pride. "You seem to be enjoying yourself." Zander smiled as I put away the leftovers."Maybe." It was peaceful cooking for hours, talking with my family and even Lucy. Then we gathered around a table and had a feast. It was nice, something I wanted more of, but Zander was right too. This wasn't normal, no matter how much everyone tried to make it."How about a movie?" Zander suddenly asked and it caught me a little off guard. It was just a movie, something we did often before, but somehow felt wrong now."We haven't been to one in months." I tried remembering the last time we even went out as just normal kids."It'll b

Michael POVIt was so good to have my family around me again. A handful of them I detested, and unfortunately they were the ones that ran our affairs for so long, but the rest, I did truly care for. Nonna was my favorite, of course. She was funny as hell with a filthy mouth and fast hand that was always gripping a wooden spoon. She was a harsh woman, but she did it out of love. Her life was never easy. She had an arranged marriage with her husband, a high player in the families back then. She speaks of their union as one of the greatest love stories though. They had many children, mostly men and mostly fools. I always wondered how our lives would have been if her husband hadn't died so early on.Nonna always taught me not to dwell on things that cannot be changed. She also taught me how to love, not just a woman, but my family. To her, there was nothing greater in life than love. For so long I channeled all that into Amy, my little sister who needed me to be strong enough to protect

Amy POVI spent most of the day and the whole next one in my room, too pissed to see or talk to anyone. Dylan became a complete ghost that I wonder if he chose to go to Siberia just to get away from me. I knew I was a total bitch, but there was this itch inside me. I was uncomfortable in my skin and needed a release, any release. It could be screaming harsh and painful words at my friends, or letting a man own my body and give me a feeling of relief. I was more messed up in the head than I ever felt before, but luckily, a bunch of new shows loaded online and I had weeks' worth of entertainment to keep me from reality. But every time something funny or a shocking twist happened all I wanted to do was talk to Lucy or Zander about it. I needed them, but I also needed them to escape this life of danger. I wish they would just disappear.I hated Lucy right now. She was stupid to get involved with my brother. I knew her, and this isn't a life she can thrive in. Not only will it eat away

Lucy POVFor hours I laid in bed, fingers swirling Michael's chest. Yesterday was hell, between Amy fucking Dylan for the entire house to hear, to me running around arranging plans for our new guests, all 60 of them. This was a big house, but not that big.Oddly, Michael didn't even care about Amy and Dylan though. He told Paul to slap him around a little for being so disrespectful, but nothing about him touching his sister. When I questioned him about the lack of rage he just said 'She is an adult and I'm too damn exhausted to waste my energy on her bullshit'. Then he went to bed and hadn't woken yet. He slept a solid 16 hours, which concerned me until the doctors said he needed it and not to wake him.He slept so peacefully beside me. All night I was glued to his side, my arms wrapped tightly around his body. I never thought I would want nothing more than to lay in bed with a man or want him to do nothing but sleep and recover. He wore his scar proudly, but it made my heart squeeze

Amy POV"What did I do now?" Lucy whined like I was some nuisance. She was the one causing so many problems. She almost killed my brother because all of a sudden sex didn't freak her out."Why are you moving the Grasso on the same floor as us?""Michael wanted them close. He has the entire house wired with cameras, but just in case they try to make a move no one from Niko's side is hurt.""Then why am I still on the third floor? I should be moved with Niko's men." "Amy." She sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I thought you liked your room and wanted to be close to your brother. Besides, you seem more than happy to shoot some people if the occasion arose.""My brother is down here. I'm only close to you." I shot back and Lucy got nervous real quick. "Great!" I shouted in disbelief. She actually plans to share a room with him. "Are you trying to stay here now? You don't belong here, Lucy. You don't want to be here! You by Michael's side will only get you both killed. You can't
