It was an innocent question, yet it pissed the hell out of me that he even considered the possibility of me rejecting her. On the other note, he made a valid point. There were dive bars that we could get into and put our noses to the ground, but unless she has the rank to back her up, she would only get walked all over.

As much as I hated it, there were a lot of wolves that looked down on anyone that they felt was less than their standing. Technically I wasn’t an Alpha, but even I had Alpha clearance in other packs and the other resources our kind had outside of our pack.
