“I will do everything I can.” I vowed to both of them.

Looking at the cage, I didn’t see a lock or anything I could break into. From the looks of it, the cage was dropped over her. There had to be a weak point of entry though, somewhere so I could get in and release her.

I could sense both Leilani and her wolf looking at me. The hope I saw in both of their gazes made me feel a bit of pressure, being that I didn’t want to let either of them down. More than anything, I couldn’t believe I had finally met her wolf.

Desmond was practically leaping up for joy in my mind. Which only made me wonder if this was how he acted when he was a pup. It seemed weird to even think that he was once a pup, considering I have only known him as a full-grown wolf.
