If I was being honest with myself, I wasn’t sure if this was a good idea or not. Nonetheless, if Leilani thought she needed to do this, I was more than willing to have her back on this. As we neared her old pack though, I was starting to wonder if she might be in over her head.

Since Leilani had her wolf now, we had left our pack on foot. The last thing we wanted to do was draw too much attention upon arriving. What had I been thinking to agree to this?

Tate, I knew wasn’t within his right mind, considering he had never been able to handle loss well. Yet what was my excuse? Yes, I lost my mother as well, but I guess I just felt like I needed to keep it together for everyone.

So why had I agreed to have just the three of us head into a pack territory that wasn’t our allies and who had treated my mate so poorly? Leilani had just started training and she didn’t know how to use her magic yet.
