Eric-
“Fuck!” I bellowed, getting out of the vehicle myself.
Chasing after her, I was surprised at how fast she ran. Even without her wolf counterpart, she was fast as fuck. Picking up my pace, I continued after her.
“Need help?” One of the warriors yelled out, while I was pretty sure I heard the other one laughing.
Ignoring them, I kept running after Leilani. Obviously, they didn’t think I needed them to intervene, since neither of them made any move to help. Not that I wanted their help, it just pissed me off that they were amused by it.
Catching up to her, I reached out to grab her arm. Once I had a firm hold on it, I pulled her back. Underestimating the momentum our running, as well as my stopping, was going to have, we both tumbled to the ground.
