Alpha Mike reached out his hand toward me. “Come with me.”

The scene vaguely echoed our first meeting two years ago.

Back then, right in this very place, my sister had just differentiated into an Alpha. Our rogue mother, who had been wandering with us, cast me out of the house. With nowhere to go and covered in wounds, I hid there. Alpha Mike appeared like a blessing from the Moon Goddess, descending into my hopeless life. Gazing at his gentle, handsome face, I followed him without hesitation.

“Mister, why me?” I was young then, but I still understood that nothing in this world came for free.

Alpha Mike looked burdened with thoughts. He simply stared at me and said, “It can only be you.”

I didn’t know then that he had gone through great lengths to find me, to gain my trust, all just to save my sister by giving her my liver. I foolishly saw him as a benevolent man, believing I was just one of the many stray pups he had helped.

I trusted him so easily.

“Sir, thank you for helping me. I can do many things—I can cook, clean, and do laundry for you…”

But Alpha Mike only gave me a flat, emotionless glance. “I’m not looking for a maid.”

“Then how can I repay you?”

“Do you really want to repay me?”

“Mm, with the Moon Goddess as my witness, I’m willing to do anything for you.”

He looked at me then and smiled sincerely.

Now, Alpha Mike stood there, looking at me curled up in the corner. After two years together, someone as perceptive as him must know why I wanted to return here, right?

The small wooden cabin by Moon Lake—where we first met.

I’d asked Jery to bring me here because I wanted to return to that time before I met him.

Alpha Mike smiled, but there was a trace of bitterness in it.

“Anna, do you regret meeting me?”

I didn’t answer him, because I no longer remembered him.

Which, I suppose, meant I’d gotten what I wanted.

The wounds on my body, still unhealed, began to ache again after the chase. My white dress clung to me, soaked with sweat. I gritted my teeth to endure the pain.

Alpha Mike squatted down, wanting to comfort me by patting my head, but I instinctively turned away, dodging his hand.

He pulled back, sighing so softly it was almost inaudible.

“Anna, from now on, I’ll treat you well.”

At that moment, his phone rang. Alpha Mike quickly took it out and answered. My Alpha father’s anxious voice came through the speaker: “Mike, you need to come back. Lina’s very unstable since hearing about Anna’s disappearance. The doctor said this could affect her recovery. Come talk to her. She always listens to you.”

Alpha Mike ended the call in a hurry, concerned for Lina flooding his sapphire eyes. “Anna, stop being difficult. Your sister just had surgery—she can’t get too emotional. I need to go back to the hospital. Go home with my assistant, alright?”

He stood up and instructed his Beta assistant, “Take Luna Anna back.”

He didn’t even notice how all the color had drained from my face, or how I’d collapsed onto the ground, clearly in pain.

I heard a wolf’s howl in the distance and stared blankly in the direction he’d gone. He’d shifted into his wolf form just to get back faster.

In less than half an hour, Alpha Mike arrived at the hospital and entered Lina’s room.

I could imagine what they’d say—

“Mike~ Do you think Anna resents me for taking her liver? Is that why she ran away from home?”

And then, Lina—my oh-so-beloved sister—would throw herself, tearful and fragile, into Alpha Mike’s arms, sobbing like her heart was breaking.

Alpha Mike, of course, would pat her trembling back, offering her vague reassurances. “Lina, please don’t overthink it. Anna gave it to you willingly. You don’t need to feel guilty.”

Ha.

And then she’d ask—

“Do you think she resents you too? For choosing me as your Luna, yet giving all your love and attention to her?

Then, inevitably—

Alpha Mike, growing slightly irritated by her persistent questions, would reply half-heartedly, “She’s easily content. Becoming my mate is enough for her. She won’t dwell on what she’s lost.”

Lina would instantly compose herself, wipe her tears, and say, “You’ve been spending too much time with me lately. Maybe she feels neglected. She’s just throwing a tantrum.”

My Alpha father, seeing Lina cry so pitifully, would be heartbroken. And then, he’d turn his dissatisfaction toward me—the one he believed caused all this trouble. “Anna’s so thoughtless. Lina just survived a major surgery, and she’s already making her worry like this.”

But how could he forget that his other daughter also went through that same surgery?

Alpha Mike would look at his Alpha father-in-law with a distant expression. “Did you forget? She had surgery too. She’s only acting out this once. Just let her be.”

Alpha Father paused, shame flickering in his eyes. But then he chuckled, brushing it off. “She’s healthy. She’ll be fine.”

He fell silent right after saying it—his blatant favoritism too obvious to ignore.

Lina held Alpha Mike’s hand; her voice pitiful: “Mike~ Have you ever thought… love between three people is always crowded. You gave me Anna’s liver… She must feel awful inside, even if she doesn’t say it. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have run away. Mike~ You don’t love her anyway. Why don’t you two just reject each other? Then we can be together and make it up to Anna, okay?”

But Alpha Mike calmly pushed her hand away. “Lina, I already said—I won’t separate from Anna. She’s physically damaged now and will never be able to differentiate again. As her mate, I have a duty to care for her. I don’t have the right to reject her.”

Lina felt like her world collapsed.

Tears welled up as she cried, “Mike, in Bring Pack and in the tribe, you’ve deceived and betrayed so many others. Why is it only with Anna that you feel guilty?”

Alpha Mike said, “That was war. An eye for an eye is how it works. But Anna… she’s never done me wrong.”

Lina collapsed onto the hospital bed, sobbing uncontrollably. “If I had known keeping my life meant losing you… I’d rather have died than accepted her donation!”

Alpha Mike straightened his clothes. “Lina, the Moon Goddess is fair. You got a second chance at life, but you lost love. Anna became my mate, but she lost part of herself.”

With a grim face, he turned and walked out.

Lina sat there, covering her face, still crying. “It’s not fair… not fair at all… How can I live without you?”

Alpha Father, distressed by his precious daughter’s tears, quickly comforted her: “Sweetheart, don’t cry. Seeing you like this breaks my heart. Don’t worry, your sister’s easy to talk to. I’ll talk to her and get her to initiate the divorce.”

Lina finally stopped crying.

“Father, you’re right. Mike is a leader—he has responsibilities. He won’t abandon Anna on his own. So, we’ll work on Anna instead. Offering her fame and fortune, she won’t be able to resist. She’ll leave Mike herself.”

“Yes, yes. Don’t worry. Your father will make sure you and Mike get back together.”

At the villa.

When Alpha Mike returned home, he didn’t hear the usual cheerful greeting of “Honey!” It made him frown in discomfort. He asked the Omega maid cleaning nearby, “Where’s Luna?”

The maid took his coat and respectfully replied, “Alpha, Luna’s been acting strange today. After she came back, she locked herself in her room and didn’t come out. She won’t respond when we call her.”

Alpha Mike glanced up the stairs in surprise. Thinking of what happened earlier, he got up. “I’ll go check on her.”

I placed the video speaker at the hallway entrance, playing a street dance tutorial video with blasting rock music. Dressed in my dance gear, I danced in an uncoordinated manner, but I was enjoying myself.Alpha Mike walked over with a dark expression and immediately turned off the speaker.I was about to snap, but when I saw Lina behind him, I quickly turned my anger into a smile. “Darling, I’m preparing to work out. Once my body is in shape, let’s have another child.”As I spoke, I walked over to Alpha Mike, naturally linking my arm with his and speaking sweetly to him.Lina’s face turned sour. Her mouth opened and closed, but eventually, she kept quiet, probably due to feeling uneasy about the situation.Alpha Mike studied me closely, probably trying to figure out why the person who had been so arrogant and rude to him just moments ago suddenly seemed full of admiration and affection. He probably thought I had lost my mind, right?Lina suddenly chuckled softly, “Anna, do you really

I took out my phone, ran to the second bedroom, and lay on the bed snapping pictures. I then posted them on Facebook in a 3x3 grid, making it visible only to Lina.Caption: “Thanks to my dear mate for decorating this room for me. Very romantic. I really like it.”After posting, I returned to my own room, quietly waiting for Lina’s retaliation.I knew about her. She was outwardly arrogant but deep down shameless. She thought Alpha Mike loved her, so on the surface, she never bothered to compete with me. But when it came to her own interests, she’d be very calculating. Now that I was back, I was going to compete with her, to take what she thought was hers. That would force her to reveal her true self.As expected, it didn’t take long before Lina angrily questioned me, “Anna, you’re back home?”I looked at the message and could almost feel her flustered reaction through the screen. So, I decided to push her even further, “Yes, Mike wants me to live with him peacefully.”There was no resp

I handed over the divorce agreement from the Werewolf Court to Alpha Mike several days ago.But Alpha Mike hasn’t reacted at all. This makes me feel uneasy.I have a vague sense that Alpha Mike won’t easily agree to my request for a rejection.Wendy asked in confusion, “Anni, could it be that he hasn’t rejected you because he still has some feelings for you?”I replied, “He doesn’t have feelings for me; he just—doesn’t know how to respect me. To him, I’m just a worthless Rogue. He’s offering me shelter from the storm, letting me study. That’s already a huge favor. I should be grateful to him, and all my efforts are just what I should be doing. I have no right to leave him.”Wendy snorted, “This man is really a businessman, calculating everything, even his favors. If I’d known he was this kind of person, you wouldn’t have been so eager for his little acts of kindness.”I thought for a moment and said, “If he doesn’t agree to the rejection, I’ll have to resort to legal action.”Wendy sa

My words stirred up a storm.Jesery’s face turned ashen, and he angrily pointed at me, shouting, “Who the hell are you? I don’t even recognize you, and I doubt you’re a fashion industry expert. What proof do you have that the fabric on Jeseni’s clothes comes from the Ebony Moon team?”His mother, Ami, quickly chimed in, “Exactly—where did this unknown person come from? I remember we didn’t invite someone like you.”Jeseni stepped forward, his tall figure shielding me behind him. “She’s a guest I invited. Do you have a problem with that?”Ami’s expression shifted. After all, it was Jeseni’s coming-of-age ceremony, and he was the main guest. It was perfectly normal for him to invite a few friends. They shouldn’t have said anything.“Jeseni, you’re young. Be careful with your friends. I don’t see how this girl, so young, could recognize high-end fabrics like the ones from Ebony Moon. Don’t mistake these shady people for fashion experts.”At this, people around them began whispering: “Cou

At the entrance of the estate, Jeseni walked confidently toward Wendy.“Master Jeseni Beli.” Wendy took a few steps forward and handed Jeseni a rectangular box.“This is a gift for your coming-of-age ceremony, sent by Anni.”Jeseni’s eyes darkened suddenly, and his voice couldn’t hide his disappointment. “My coming-of-age ceremony… Anni isn’t coming?”Wendy mysteriously patted the box. “Master Jeseni Beli, this gift needs to be given to you in advance. You’ll need it on the day of the ceremony. As for Anni, don’t worry. She’s already in the United States, and she hasn’t forgotten your coming-of-age ceremony.”Jeseni’s spirits lifted again. Seeing him like this, I couldn’t help but remember how I had saved him and brought him home back then. He had changed, but in some ways, he hadn’t changed at all.He pulled out two gold cards from his pocket and handed them to Wendy. “I’ve prepared access cards for Anni and you. You can use them to enter the venue when the time comes.”Wendy took th

The next day.At the entrance of Alpha Mike’s villa.I had changed into simple clothes, wearing no makeup and looking a bit haggard. Together with Wendy, we unexpectedly showed up at the door. But it seemed someone had arrived before me. A luxury car worth million was parked outside, and Lina, holding several gift bags of various sizes, stepped out of the car, looking proud and full of energy. She rang the doorbell, and the Omega butler opened the door. Upon seeing her, his face lit up with surprise. “Miss Hansi, Lady Pary was just saying it’s been a while since you’ve visited.”Lina handed one of the gift bags to the Omega butler. “This is for you.”The butler took the gift, smiling broadly. “You always bring so many gifts when you visit. You even remember us servants, how thoughtful of you.”He then greeted her warmly and ushered her inside.Wendy and I were sitting in the taxi, watching this scene unfold. Wendy couldn’t help but comment, “They’re so close, anyone can tell what she’

After the plane landed, Wendy and I each dragged a large suitcase out.It was drizzling in the sky over the US, and the bitter cold of deep winter seeped into my bones. Wendy quickly pulled out a down jacket from the suitcase and draped it over me, warning,“Anni, you mustn’t catch a cold.”As I wrapped myself in the long down jacket, I felt warmth on my body, which also soothed my heart. In the past two years, Wendy and I have become as close as family, relying on each other for comfort. Our bond had grown even stronger, like blood relatives.Over these two years, my career had developed rapidly because of my relentless hard work, and with Master Ebony Moon’s personal guidance. He even helped with my business by providing resources, supply chains, and even a technical team. This had put me on the shoulders of giants, allowing me to build my own fashion empire in just two short years. The brand I created, “Nebula,” had already opened more than a dozen stores both domestically and inte

I was startled and quickly stepped forward to shield Jeseni behind me.Alpha Mike’s raised fist hovered in the air, but it never came down. He just stared at me in disbelief.Seeing me protect another man so firmly, he must have been feeling some sort of discomfort, right? The once timid me would only have been brave for him. But now, that bravery no longer belonged solely to him.The girl who loved him unconditionally was long gone.Taking advantage of Alpha Mike’s daze, I pulled Jeseni and ran. We didn’t stop until we reached an empty street, where I exhaled deeply, releasing all the tension in my chest. Then, I punched Jeseni’s chest. Though it was more for show than anything else, I scolded him angrily, “He’s the head of the Bring Pack. Even Jesery has to be cautious around him. If you provoke him, do you plan on ruining your chances at home?”Jeseni made a hurt expression. “He just deserves a punch.”I couldn’t help but feel a bit satisfied thinking about Alpha Mike’s blackened e

Presidential Suite.I pushed open the door and saw a tall, straight figure standing by the floor-to-ceiling window. The warm winter sunlight from behind cast a golden halo around him, as though he were gilded in light.“Jeseni!” I exclaimed with joy.I quickly walked over, not even noticing that Wendy hadn’t followed me and had instead kindly closed the door, standing like a statue in the hallway.Jeseni turned around and stretched out his arms, asking for a hug. “Anni, it’s been so long. Give me a hug.”I took a step back, feeling a little awkward.“Why a hug? Jeseni, you’re all grown up now—” I had intended to say that hugging didn’t feel quite appropriate, but then I remembered this child hadn’t received much affection growing up. Now, he was treating me like family, and how could I refuse? So, I simply extended my arms without hesitation. I thought it would be a brief and casual hug, but Jeseni, being very tall, and me being on the shorter side, accidentally ended up hugging his s
