It was five after six in the morning and Brook still hadn’t shown up to training. Whatever her reason for being late was, it better be good. I had let her not attend training the first couple of days because she had been injured. Now there were no excuses. After yesterday’s performance, I was more insistent that she continues training. She could barely even throw a punch.
I knew she wasn’t injured, weak maybe, but not injured. Her weakness didn’t even stem from her injuries. I was certain that after everything she had told me, she was just malnourished to the extreme. Brooklyn-As much as I knew Tate was right, I needed him to train me more than he realized. If he would just give me a chance, I am sure I could overcome this fear. I had to, if I didn’t everything I was doing was for nothing.I had chased after him to try to convince him I was ready, but I had hesitated too long.
