My Ex.

Chapter Three

Arielle's POV.

The Next Day.

I wanted to see the person to whom I would be getting married to. I was just so curious to see him, and what he looked like. It would just be a few months, and I would be able to get any amount of help that I needed.

I only have a little in my savings. This is one of the easiest ways for me to make more money. The man and I are not going to have anything to do with each other. All what we needed to do was act as if we were dating.

I didn't'l think that would require a lot, and I should be able to do it all by myself. I looked at myself in the mirror to make sure that I was looking presentable.

The young lady who saved me yesterday walked into the room and said, "You don't have to mind my son when you see him. He could be so rude, and at the same time, he could be very cold. The last time I saw him happy was when he was in a relationship. I didn't even get to meet the lady that he was meeting; he was very happy then." She informed me. I believed what she said, because I didn't get to meet my ex-parents either.

I guess getting married to me would be the last thing that he would wish for, especially given the fact that he still hasn't moved on from his ex.

"It's okay! As long as I get the money in the end. I don't mind his behavior." I assured her. "Have you named him?" She looked at my baby, who was on the bed.

"Not yet! I haven't yet picked a name for him. The name I came up with was together with my father. There is no way I would give him that name. When my father doesn't care about it anymore." I told her, while she nodded her head in support of what I had just said.

My father and I planned on naming my son Aaron, but he isn't present anymore. There was no reason for me to still give him that name.

"He is already around. So he will be waiting for you downstairs." She told me, while I let out a small smile. Even though it was a fake one. I just needed to act.

I stood up from the stool that was right at the front of the mirror desk, and looked at myself one last time before, I walked out of the room completely. Furthermore, I walked down the stairs slowly.

I was looking at the floor because I was really shy. "This is her." I heard the old man saying, while I slowly looked up and saw the son who was sitting on the chair. My eyes opened widely in shock, but there were no expressions in his face. Ryan? What was he doing here?

My heartbeat rate increased upon seeing him again; those words he told me the last time we met six months ago reverberated in my ears. "Let's break up; I have been using you all this while." Those were the words he said to me. They were sharper than a two-edged sword.

I didn't know what a two-edged sword pain was like, but I felt like it would be more painful than that.

He was my first love, and we dated for a few years. He also told me that was the reason why he wouldn't take me to see his parents. So it turned out that he had been lying to me all along.

I cried myself to sleep that night; it was that same night that I got to realize that I was pregnant for him.

What was Ryan doing here? I couldn't believe that I was going to meet my ex this way! Someone should wake me up from my dreams right now! "What is her name?" He questioned his mother.

Acting like he doesn't know me? That should be a good thing. I'm pretty good at it, too.

"She is Arielle." His mom sat right beside him. Why was he not acting surprised? Did he know that I would be here?

"You guys just need to act as if you are married. She even has a child; you can claim the child is yours until your grandfather changes his mind about who is going to take over all his company." His mother held his hands.

"What if I don't agree? She has a son." I bet he was finding it hard to believe. I also bet he doesn't know that the child is his, which is why I would keep it from him as a secret forever.

"No! She just gave birth to a son a few weeks ago, and it would be perfect. We just have to see your grandfather; he would even be happy to know that she has a great-grandson. If you don't agree now, we might lose a lot. You know how evil your uncle is; we might go bankrupt in the end." She told him.

"I didn't say I was not going to agree. I just asked what was going to happen if I didn't agree. Can you give us a few minutes so we can talk?" He said it with a very cold expression on his face.

"Okay! If that is what you want." His parents excused us, leaving the two of us right in the sitting room. I didn't know the reason why my heart was still beating so fast.

"I'm shocked you are here. How did you even end up here?" He asked, and he let out a loud scoff. "It happened that I turned out to be here. Can we just act like we didn't know each other before? Can we just act like we don't know each other, and just carry out the plan?" I questioned him.

I didn't want him to bring up the past because I didn't want to be reminded of those memories that we kept together.

"Whose baby is that? It has only been six months since we broke up. That cannot be my real child, right?" He questioned me, while I gulped down the saliva that was in my mouth, getting ready to lie to him.

"Why would I give birth to your child? I cheated on you when we were still dating." I lied to him, and he nodded.

"I knew that you were that type, so I am not surprised." He stood up from his seat, and then walked up to where I was. I moved back as he moved closer to me.

"You said we should act like we don't know each other. That is one of the easiest things to do. We just got married to show off, so you should be confirmed." He touched my hair while he took some strands, and then placed them right behind my ears.

I was literally shivering just because of his touch. "Since we are acting, do you actually think that it is bad for me to touch you this way in public? Huh?" His hands went to my ass while he squeezed it, and then pulled me closer to him as our chests touched each other.

He did all of this with no sort of facial expression. "Don't you think you are moving forward? This is just an act! I mean, the marriage is an act, and we are not even married yet." I made it clear to him while I moved backwards, and then removed his hand from my ass.

"Woah! Who told you what I was doing wasn't an act, either? I was just trying to let you know the kind of act I was going to pull with you when we get married, too. Do you still want to get married to me?" He questioned.

Why was he acting that this was a real marriage.

"Yes, I would still get married to you. I am prepared for the worst from you." I told him, and he went back to sit down where he was sitting before.

"Then we should sign the papers tomorrow. Happy married life." He stretch forth both of his hands.
