Miya groaned. Her whole body hurt, especially her groin. Her back was also a bit sore, it felt as if she couldn't move her body too much. Her eyes blinked slowly, trying to find her consciousness so that Miya could know where she was.
The room, dominated by gray and white, looked unfamiliar. The large bed, which was already out of shape, was also unfamiliar to Miya. Although she had only been living in Damian's mansion for a week, Miya had begun to memorize every side of her room. It began to be dominated by colors that were much more vivid than before.
But this time, her eyes could only find parts of the room that were very unfamiliar. She didn't recognize anything except... a black suit hanging neatly near the dressing table.
"Whose room is this?" she asked as she tried to get up. "Ugh!" She held her shoulder. It had been a long time since her left shoulder had hurt, but this time the pain started again. Miya's memory began to replay the events she had experienced before. Starting from... she woke up and had a pleasant breakfast, even though she was only accompanied by Desi, who rarely spoke. She continued to watch dramas in between doing her coursework. Then she decided to spend some time at the pool and...
"Damn," Miya complained, the heat attacking her face. She looked down at her body, which was only wrapped in a blanket. "He really did it without a break." Miya scowled in displeasure. "Did my cries for mercy go completely unheard?" Miya remembered all the time Damian had overpowered her body.
It was as if the man's body lacked no strength at all. Even when she felt like she could no longer just sigh like he asked, Damian whispered, "I'm not satisfied yet, Baby Girl."
No wonder Miya's body felt loose from her bones at this point.
"Are you awake?"
The baritone voice was becoming familiar to Miya's ears. After almost a week of not bothering Miya's ears, the voice was back. Miya should have realized that the place where she lived now was one of the many properties Damian owned. Because of that, Miya turned her head. At the figure that had just come out of the bathroom.
His black curls were slightly wet and partially covered his otherwise handsome face. It's just a pity that Damian rarely shows a smile, most of the time the face is flat without any expression. This added to the impression of being cold and untouched by others and not wanting to linger around Damian.
"Just now." That was all Miya could say. Slowly, she lifted the blanket that covered part of Miya's body until it covered the tip of her chin.
This did not go unnoticed by Damian. The man grinned slightly. "I've seen you naked, Baby Girl. Why are you making that face?"
The heat that had begun to dissipate from Miya's face struck again and this time it was much worse than before. So embarrassed that Miya turned her face the other way. She did not want to look at Damian any longer. Even though her beady eyes commanded her to look nowhere but at Damian's perfectly sculpted, half-naked body. Miya guessed that he was a regular gym-goer to keep his body in such a perfect shape.
After all, a man who was much older than her had his own charm, right?
" Even so, this is my first time," Miya grumbled as she patted her knee. The thick blanket drowned her even more. "You're too much, Mr. Sawyer."
"What can I say?" Damian said without any guilt, but the corner of his eye glanced at Miya. Without realizing it, a faint smile formed at the corner of his lips. "You're the girl who doesn't understand the meaning of fun."
"Who am I having fun with? A man who obviously has bad taste?" Miya snapped unhappily. "It's better that way. It's up to others what they want to say about me."
"Should I thank you?"
Miya frowned even more. "What I give is worth what I get."
Damian's hand movements in the shirt hanging next to his blazer slowed down. Miya's words made Damian chuckle as well. "You're right. It is worth what I give in exchange for your precious possessions, isn't it?"
Miya paused.
"I asked Sarah to monitor your condition. That loud woman said that the next few days are your fertile time. So... don't get too tired doing activities at home." Damian straightened the blazer he was wearing. He made sure there were no creases and that it hugged his well-built body perfectly.
"You say such things so easily." Miya scowled disapprovingly. "Almost my entire body is in pain because of you, Mr. Sawyer. And you tell me not to get tired? You're the one making me tired!"
Damian let out a small laugh. His Miya was back, the one who would not be outdone in speech. The stare that would not accept that something was wrong with the girl. And the annoyance it brought to her beautiful face.
Damian wanted to spend the rest of the day with Miya, but... the Sawyer family meeting was more important to him now. Don't let that old bastard monopolize the place. Not to mention Victor's report that his mother, Hera Sawyer, had met Victor personally. Just to see Damian, who would probably talk about the annoying problems of the Sawyer family.
"I've asked Desi to take care of you while I'm gone." Damian approached Miya who was still lingering in the middle of the bed. Under the covers Damian could see that she wasn't wearing anything. When the distance between them was completely erased, Damian's fingers touched the tip of Miya's chin and asked her to look up at him. Lately, Miya had been looking in the other direction more often than at him. "As long as I'm in your line of sight, don't look anywhere but at me."
Miya pursed her lips.
"Understood?"
All Miya could do was nod, right? Was there any other choice as long as Miya was in the clutches of this truly terrible man? There would be many consequences that Miya would feel if she dared to argue with a man like Damian. Although it was only a little that Miya knew, but her instinct told her clearly; don't try to get into trouble with a man named Damian Sawyer.
"I'll go first." Damian gave Miya's seductively pouting lips a quick peck. "Wait until I get back and get ready."
"One more week?"
Damian grinned. "Are you counting how long I haven't visited you?" Miya's blond strands of hair were a little messy, Damian smoothed them gently. He tucked it behind Miya's ear so that the girl's pretty face could be seen more clearly.
"I happen to study every day, so I know how long you've been gone." Miya was careful not to make eye contact with the man sitting next to her.
"Are you really following Victor's words?"
"I don't want to add to the problems of my life, Mr. Sawyer. I've had enough of getting involved with you."
Damian nodded as if he understood. "I'll probably be home in the morning." He moved on, though it was a little hard to leave Miya. "Don't break what I don't like, Miya."
Again, Miya nodded obediently.
Not long after, the man actually left the room and Miya, who still had no intention of getting out of bed. After Damian left, Miya started to look for her clothes, which... "There's no way I can wear them anymore." She grimaced at Damian's treatment of her skimpy clothes. "How am I going to get out of this room? It's impossible without clothes, right?"
Eventually Miya pulled herself up despite her reluctance to leave the bed. She had to clean up and her stomach begged for attention. The memory of Desi's offer of dinner seemed to satisfy the hunger in her stomach. "I guess I'd better clean up first. Then figure out what I'm going to wear to get out of this room."
Miya walked around the dimly lit room. The atmosphere was comfortable to spend a lot of time in. One thing Miya was curious about was the stairs not far from the bed she was lying in. "What's there?"
Miya's curiosity had to be put aside when the door knocked, and Desi's voice could be heard. That made Miya feel relieved and quite happy. "Come in."
Invited in, Desi entered with a paper bag containing Miya's clothes. "I was waiting for you to wake up. But Mr. Damian said you needed more rest."
What an asshole, Damian! Miya cursed to herself. What Damian had said to Desi definitely gave meaning to what they were doing in this room. Together. For a long time.
"Dinner is ready, Miss Miya. You can clean up first."
Today I don't know how many times Miya nodded obediently. Like an unruly and obedient pet. "Um... could you please get me a bathing robe? I can't find my clothes in this room."
Desi smiled slightly. "Mr. Damian has already put them away. He doesn't like his room messy."
"This is Damian's room?"
Desi nodded quickly.
"No wonder it's dark." Miya scowled. Soon Desi gave Miya the bathing robe she needed. "Just wait outside, Desi, I won't be long before I get cleaned up. My stomach is begging to be filled as well."
"Yes, Miss Miya." Desi quickly left the dimly lit room. She left Miya without her help. Still, Desi was always ready when Miya needed her help.
Miya was still not used to the pain she felt in her groin. "Damn, how many times did Damian do this?" And as she took off her bathing kimono in front of the large mirror near the sink, Miya unconsciously screamed.
Shocked and surprised at how many reddish marks Damian had left on her body.
"What's wrong, Miss Miya?" Desi asked in a worried tone. It was a good thing she hadn't gone too far out of the room.
Miya wouldn't have said what happened, would she? "Nothing, Desi. I was... just surprised."
"Was there something that scared you?"
"I'm fine, Desi. Just relax." Miya tried to speak as normally as possible. "Just wait for me to finish cleaning up."
"Okay." Although she didn't really believe Miya's words, Desi tried to give the girl some privacy.
Meanwhile, Miya was completely frustrated by what she saw on her body. "Damn it, Damian!" she muttered. "I'll get back to you later!" One of the things that made Miya's eyes widen even more were the reddish, almost bluish marks that were clearly visible in the hollow of her neck. She couldn't cover them up with anything but... a scarf? A plaster?
Seriously!
That night, Leonard stood in an empty building on the outskirts of the city, his face full of confidence. In his hand, there was a cell phone displaying important messages for his men. The plan to harm Miya was almost complete. He would not let Damian win.“Make sure Miya doesn't get out of the mansion. If necessary, make a big enough ruckus so Victor and Marcus can't focus on protecting her,” Leonard ordered over the cell phone. However, unbeknownst to him, one of Marcus' men had infiltrated his communication network. The messages were relayed directly to Marcus. At Damian's mansion, Marcus read the report seriously. “Leonard's on the move again,” he told Victor, who immediately stood up.“We have to act fast. I won't let him touch Miya,” Victor replied in a firm tone.A car was speeding through the streets of Northderm. Leonard tried to escape after realizing that his plan had been leaked. However, behind him, Marcus' team was ready to give chase.“Don't let him get away!” exclaimed
Damian sat quietly in the small interrogation room, staring at Tedy who was tied to the chair in front of him. In the corner of the room, Harold stood restlessly, going through a pile of documents and notes.“He won't talk,” Harold muttered, breaking the silence.Damian raised one eyebrow, his expression cold. “Everyone has a soft spot. If he doesn't talk now, I'll make sure he regrets his silence.”Tedy looked up, his face scarred but his smile mocking. “You think I'm afraid of you, Damian? I've survived this far. You won't get anything out of me.”Damian leaned closer, his voice low but threatening. “I don't need your confession, Tedy. I just want to make sure that you have no way out. Harold, prepare the documents for the court martial. I want him processed as soon as possible.”Harold looked at Damian skeptically. “Court martial? Damian, this will attract great attention. Are you sure this is the right move?”Damian nodded firmly. “Leonard can't communicate with Tedy anymore. It's
Damian stepped into the room with a cold stare. The place was dark, lit only by a few low-hanging chandeliers, creating long shadows on the walls. Harold, the police chief who was Damian's partner, was already waiting there with some of his men. In the corner of the room, Tedy, Leonard's assistant, sat tied to a chair. His face was bruised, but his gaze remained defiant.“What did you find here?” Damian asked Harold matter-of-factly.Harold let out a long breath. “Not much. We only found traces of a small fight. Some of our guards were attacked in a very organized way. Leonard escaped with the help of someone who knows the ins and outs of this place very well.”Damian turned to Tedy. “This guy,” he said, pointing at the bound man. “He must know something. He was Leonard's right-hand man for years.”Marcus, who was standing next to Damian, approached with a tense face. “Let me do the talking first,” he said. Marcus approached Tedy and looked at him intensely. “Tell me where Leonard is
Rebecca sat in her office with a sharp gaze. In front of her, a man in a neat suit but looking nervous stood up while handing over a thick file. The man, one of Rebecca's confidants, sighed before speaking.“Mrs. Rebecca, this is all the information we managed to gather about the woman living in Mr. Damian's mansion,” he said in a careful tone.Rebecca opened the file and began to read carefully. Inside were photos of Miya walking in the garden with Hera and Kayoko, Miya looking happy while holding her growing belly, even some medical reports from the doctor who handled her pregnancy. Rebecca's face turned red, her eyes widened in anger.“Pregnancy? So this is the reason he's so protective of that woman?” her voice raised, making the man in front of her look down even deeper.“Yes, ma'am. That woman is pregnant. The doctor is Dr. Hana from the specialty clinic downtown,” the man replied in an almost whispered tone.Rebecca slammed the file onto the table. “Damian never told me anythin
Miya sat on the living room sofa with a worried face. The atmosphere of the mansion had been different since morning. The extra guards Damian had brought in were pacing back and forth with serious looks on their faces. Miya looked at the cup of tea in her hand, not really in the mood to drink it. Kayoko sat beside her, trying to break the ice with funny stories, but Miya's concern was still evident.“Miya, you're thinking too much,” Kayoko said as she thrust a piece of cake at Miya. “Try eating this. If you continue like that, Damian will definitely worry.”Miya let out a long breath. “I just feel like something's not right. All this... the extra security, Damian being more protective than usual, makes me wonder.”Desi, Miya's personal assistant, who was sitting not far from them, finally spoke up. “Mrs. Miya, there's actually something that Mr. Damian is furious about. Someone he was keeping an eye on... escaped from his watch. That's why he's tightened the security in this mansion.
That morning, the atmosphere at the Sawyer mansion was different. Damian was seen talking to some well-built men who had just arrived in the courtyard. Miya watched from the living room window, sensing something unusual. Kayoko, who was sitting next to her enjoying her morning tea, also glanced out.“What is Damian doing?” Miya asked quietly, more to herself.Kayoko turned her head and smiled slightly. “Maybe he just wants to make sure everything is safe. You know how Damian is.”Miya nodded, but curiosity got the better of her. She decided to wait until Damian came in to ask him directly. Not long after, Damian appeared in the living room. His face looked tense, but he tried to hide it with a small smile when he saw Miya.“What's going on, Damian?” she asked directly.Damian came over and sat next to her. He grasped Miya's hand gently. “Just a precaution. There's nothing for you to worry about.”Miya looked at him skeptically. “But why the extra security? Does this have anything to d
