Asher's POV.

My wolf was raging deep inside of me, trying to figure out why anybody thought that it would be nice for them to try and push me away.

There must have been conversations revolving around my newly found occupation and as much as I would have loved to push everyone away, I believed that I had some things to carry out.

It wasn't going to be easy at least in the beginning, but if I decided to continue up to a stage, I will be able to reach from the stars and pluck them without having to look over my shoulders anymore.

I was tired of waiting and hoping that I'll be able to find somebody who understood me to the latter.

"I can see the way this is playing in your mind and I tell you very facts that you have it all wrong, but I'm not coming to push you into believing me, neither am I going to push you into accepting my words, the only thing I'm going to say right now is that you have to be careful." Abigail called out to me.

I was intrinsically thinking about what and how t

Abigail's POV. I could feel something stirring up inside of me, and all that I could keep saying was that I was near my destination even though I didn't have any. Running away without having a tangible plan wasn't the best way to go but look who we have here? Of course I am. I had determined to make the most out of the situation and nobody was going to kill my shine. As far as I was concerned, I had done my quota and it was sufficient. "Are you sure you are really ready to go against me because it can be disastrous if you do not take care?" I heard a voice whisper from inside of me and I decided to wonder why. I didn't want to be involved in anything else besides just taking a walk in the park and relaxing, especially when I got to a point where I just needed to rest. Doing anything further was going to impact me negatively. "You've got nothing but people trying to bring you down and the only thing you care about is how you should be able to come up with ideas that will transc

Asher's POV "What do you mean by the fact that she has been missing for so long? How does a grown person just automatically vanish from the face of the Earth and you expect me to listen to such excuses after I paid handsomely for you to be able to find her?!" I demanded from the losers in front of meThey didn't freaking understand the gravity of what they were doing. I wasn't about to change their mindset, but I was not also going to allow myself to be bamboozled. "I don't know what you're talking about, but there is no such thing as having to search for a person that doesn't want to be found. It's been a long time coming, I don't think that anyone in their right senses would just expect her to return." The idiot who I had paid some money, answered, smacking his lips together. "And you expect me to believe your excuses? You expect me to believe that you do not have a hand in this? You want me to think that everything is going on smoking simply because you have not done anything ri

Abigail's POV. I reconsidered my actions. As much as I could have loved to carry out what I had in mind, I believed that if I was not careful, I will be making a huge mistake and as much as I would have loved to get to a point where I no longer feared or wanted anything to do with anybody, I believed that that was not the right way to go. I had a lot of things on my mind, including making sure that nobody came closer, if I was able to reach a point where nobody would be able to find me, I would be comfortable enough to stop, and then, just wait until it was time. The question now was simple... Was I willing to risk it all? Was I ready to take the bull by the horn, and also turn into a monster that they were afraid of? That wasn't in any way my intention so I knocked the thoughts out immediately they settled in. My maid refused to let me go because she believed that I would need some pep talk to be able to return. I wouldn't lie and say that I was not happy with the way things

Asher's POV. I headed to a place where my last history with them was based on what I could provide instead of what I wanted. Now it was time for me to change history, it wasn't going to be easy, especially on their part, but I didn't bloody care about their decisions. As long as I figured that it continued affecting me, they would have to scoot over so that they didn't get on my nerves and not the other way around. There was nobody that would change the fact that I had a duty to the people who I had called mine, despite finding out how cruel they could be to the woman who was meant to be mine forever. "I called this meeting because I am not happy with the situation. If I pretend to be, then I am nothing but a lying alpha. I don't know what gave most of you the audacity to challenge the woman that has agreed to be in my life, but I guess I need to put a stop to it before you go out of bounds." I started my conversation clearly. There was not going to be any form of misunderstandi

Abigail's POV. After coming out of the shell that I had put myself in, I decided not to waste any more time, most importantly, I decided not to try to fight for myself instead allow nature to take its course. If I was able to finalize a few things, then I wouldn't have to keep on worrying my pretty head upon things that made no sense. Secondly, the only reason I was taking such a risk was because I believed that I could change the order of the day, but from everything that I had seen so far, it was evidence that I probably had no ability to do anything that I had planned, so I need it to give myself some break. This wasn't going to continue as much as I loved it to, which was fine by me at least I thought it was, if I was able to handle a few things here and there, I would not worry again. There was only one thing still holding me back, and that included, making sure that I was able to bridge the gap of being a pest over here rather than who I was supposed to be. Most of them alrea

Author's POV. She was stronger than he expected. When he had taken up the job, he had believed that she would not be able to hold her own, but here she was proving to him that he was wrong all along and must have gone on the wrong journey to prove something that made absolutely no sense. How on earth was he supposed to prove to his handlers that he had been careful enough but she's still beat him at his game? They were going to laugh at him to scorn and make his life miserable. He buckled backwards. "Cat caught your tongue now, huh?" Since it was a rhetoric question, he would be foolish enough to answer that. "I don't think you should waste your breath on me."Abigail cocked her head sideways, watching the man who looked like he had a lot of strength decide not to get into any physical altercation with her. Was he just trying to make this up and pretend like he didn't care when she knew that deep down his ego was bruised beyond repair? There was nothing good about the way he
