Chapter Fourteen

Maya’s POV

The day had arrived.

The day I was finally going to be attached to Alexander, my wedding day had arrived and I was in my room feeling all types of feelings I couldn’t pinpoint, I was numb, anxious, confused, and sad and lots more. For the past few days leading to now, my feelings had been all over the place. I was seated on the bed in my room as I watched people go in and out of the room, helping to set up the place and get me into my gown.

“We’re all done with the hair,” the hairstylist said to me with a big smile but I couldn’t reciprocate her smile, all I could do was stare at her.

“Are you fine, Maya? Don’t you like it?” Anna asked, wearing a concerned expression on her face.

I didn’t want her to worry so much so I shook my head and forced a smile. “It’s not that, I very much like it,” I said to them in a forced happy voice.
