LOGINMaya’s POV
The world spun around me and my head felt heavy as I woke up.
I open my eyes but immediately closed it back when it burned form how bright the light was. The light that filtered the high the room was blinding and it went straight to my skull causing even more pain than I was feeling.
My body was heavy and it felt detached like it didn’t belong to my. I tried to raise my hand but I couldn’t, my lumps were stiff and my muscles were tense
My mouth and throat were dry and every breath I took felt like I was breathing in spicy air
Alexander’s POVThe air in the basement was thick, damp, suffocating and it smelled of blood mixed with sweat. And whatever waste it was that Adrian had been producing- his body fluids made the air very pungent and I wanted to throw up but I held myself and walked forward. I had to do this no matter how disgusting the place smelled. The room was dimly lit and the only bulb that illuminated the room was flickering like it was about to give out as it casted eerie looking shadows across Adrian’s wounded and battered body. He looked all shabby and unkempt- his clothes were torn, his hair greasy and matted with dried blood and his face was both swollen and bruised.
Alexander’s POV“Alright, baby girl, final spoon, and then you can go back to bed.”Maya turned her head away, her nose scrunching up in pure disgust. “I don’t wanna. It tastes like horse shit.”I couldn’t help but laugh at her antics.“And how do you know what horse shit tastes like?” I asked and I watched her silently as she pouted her lips like a child whose favorite candy had been snatched from them. She
Maya’s POV“I’m okay, Alex,” I assured him. “Just a little soreness but other than that, I’m fine.”“Okay,” he replied. “So, no headache or body pain? Are you hungry? Should I get you something to eat?”I smiled, finding the way he was acting funny. This was the first time I was seeing him so riled up, confused and having no idea what to do. It was cute. Before I could respond or before Alex could throw another question at me, there was a knock on the door and then the doctor walked in and

Maya’s POVDarkness. It stretched around me endlessly like a cold and suffocating cloud, weighing heavily on me and pressing against my skin like a second layer of flesh.I had no sense of time or place, I was in an empty void that trapped me within its cold air. Then suddenly… light. And with it was pain. Then I saw myself. But it was not really me. It loo
Alexander’s POV“What the fuck are you doing, Katherine?” I growled lowly, my voice dark and dangerous. She took her eyes away from Natasha that was begging her earlier and turned to fully face me, a twisted smile curling at her lips. She held the gun in her hand tighter, but from how she looked, she barely had a grip on herself. Her hair was all over the place, her pupils wide and out of focus, and she kept fidgeting, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. She looked like a predator ready to pounce on its prey but it was too unsteady to catch it or properly land on it.
