“What the fuck are you doing, Katherine?” I growled lowly, my voice dark and dangerous.

She took her eyes away from Natasha that was begging her earlier and turned to fully face me, a twisted smile curling at her lips. She held the gun in her hand tighter, but from how she looked, she barely had a grip on herself.

Her hair was all over the place, her pupils wide and out of focus, and she kept fidgeting, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. She looked like a predator ready to pounce on its prey but it was too unsteady to catch it or properly land on it.
