Greed

"What the hell?! Why are you two doing such perverted things here?!"

 Angelina caught her child making out with another woman. She was furious to see her son's actions that did not respect the feelings of the man's wife.

 "You!!"  Angelina approached Lucia, and her hands immediately grabbed Lucia's hair in a very rough way.

 "Mom! What are you doing?!"  Kevin immediately separated the two of them. Kevin even pulled Angelina's hand hard.

 "You are more defending this slutty woman? You damn child! How can you do something stupid like this," said Angelina. "You will get pressure from the public and people will hate you for your actions that have betrayed your wife. Realize Kevin, you already have a wife. Stop playing with other women when you are married."

 "I don't care, you really bother me. Now I'm taking care of important things," said Kevin.

 "Important you say? And having sex with a whore you call important?!"

 Kevin immediately grabbed Angelina's arm and took Angelina out of the room, he was sick of hearing the ridicule that woman gave Lucia. Reproaching Lucia for Kevin was tantamount to denouncing himself. Kevin never accepted that the woman he loved was insulted by someone else, even if it was his mother.

 Lucia watched the two people leave with a cold gaze. Lucia folded her arms and leaned against Kevin's desk. As soon as she stepped closer to the door, a faint smile appeared on the woman's face. Lucia needed new information even if it was just cheap information.

 "You dragged your mother from your room?! How important was that woman? What did she give you? Without me in your life, you must be nothing in this world," Angelina growled, repeatedly hitting Kevin's arm.

 "Can you stop talking? I don't care about all your arguments, all your opinions are just bullshit. My marriage to Rasha was the biggest joke of my life! You picked up a disgusting woman from the street and you forced me to marry her, and what's even more ridiculous is  is that she is pregnant with another man's child! You hear?! Another boy's child!!!"

 A slap was given by Angelina directly to Kevin's face, he felt that Kevin was really out of bounds. Angelina couldn't believe that Kevin didn't want to acknowledge the child Rasha was carrying, for Angelina a woman like Rasha had to be protected and fought for her rights. Angelina felt that she and Rasha were not much different, far from the love and justice of the men who had impregnated them. That's why Angelina defended Rasha so much.

 Inside Kevin's room, Lucia was shocked. Lucia held her mouth open-mouthed, she couldn't believe that the woman Kevin married wasn't carrying Kevin's child. Lucia still wasn't sure about that, but after hearing such a loud statement from Kevin, most likely, Kevin wasn't lying.

Lucia had known Kevin for several years, she often argued with Kevin and saw Kevin's reactions at every moment. Kevin won't defend his argument too vigorously if he's lying, and he'll try as hard as he can if he's telling the truth.

 "I have to get this to Edward, something's wrong here. I can't be here too long either."  Lucia monologued and came out of Kevin's room while Kevin and his mother were arguing.

 "So Kevin didn't marry the woman he was pregnant with?"  Edward sounded interested, he thought as he spoke, concentrating on listening to every word Lucia said.

 "Yes, that's what I heard from them. Kevin strongly refused about that, he denied that he had impregnated Rasha," said Lucia.

 "Then what do you think? He could just be evasive and not want to take responsibility," said Edward.

 "I know how Kevin is, I'm pretty sure he's not lying," said Lucia, defending her opinion.

 Edward held his chin. "Hm, interesting. We can use this as a trick to trick him."

 Lucia does take aback, she looked up and gaped. Lucia didn't expect that Edward was planning to commit fraud.

 "That's dangerous, Edward. We could get in trouble with the law if we tricked him," said Lucia.

 "You think I meant it that way? Our scam is different than you imagine," Edward said, he smiled broadly with a thin grin on his face.

 Lucia didn't like bad ideas like this, but Edward's rejection of her was even worse than that idea. Lucia didn't want their relationship to end just like that because Lucia didn't want to help Edward.

 "Edward, what else should I do? I prefer to help you financially, I mean... I am a successful model, with technical assistance from me your product will surely skyrocket, your company will also be trusted by many clients with good relationships. that I have," said Lucia.

 He shook his head. "It's not like that, wouldn't it be better if we try something simpler? You and I don't need to work hard. We just need to put on a play."

 Lucia closed her eyes, not knowing how long she would live with this much anxiety. Edward's greed would continue as he did now; this time, Edward's target was Lucia's ex-girlfriend.

 "Edward, I don't want to act like this. Don't you have enough money yet---"

 "Shut up!"  Edward brought his face closer to Lucia's.

 Lucia was very scared, Edward's anger was visible on his handsome face.

 "Don't make me repeat what I said a second time. If you don't want to, just say you don't want to and end our relationship! I don't want a woman who won't fight for me!"

 Lucia gasped, she gaped with a shocked expression. It was easy for Edward to say his disapproval in front of Lucia, but because Lucia's love was so great that the woman was unable to deny Edward's words.

 Lucia touched Edward's chest and tried to hug him. "Edward, I didn't mean that. I just want you to think twice before deciding on that."

 Edward replied in a low voice. "I've thought about this more than ten times. I'm sure of my wish. You just have to do what I ask, do you understand?"

 Edward rubbed his nose against Lucia's cheek, he knew it was her sensitive spot.

 "Fine, but please don't push me too much. Kevin is a sensitive person, he can find out our hidden intentions if we are too hasty," said Lucia.

 "Okay, I understand."  Edward answered curtly and hugged Lucia, behind which Edward grinned with satisfaction.
