“Come with me.” He said, closing his book, heaving a sigh.

“What?” She blinked, not expecting such a generous offer.

“Come with me.” He repeated, motioning her to get up and come after him.

This sounded better than dying so she complied without arguing.

“Y-Yes.” Forcing herself to stand in his heavy aura.

So she could stand. Good. He thought, at least she can bear the intensity of his presence.

She is not that weak after all.

“No matter how fast or powerful you are, you cannot fight the Obsidian Beast, you know it, don’t you?” He asked calmly as they walked down the forest.

He was utterly unaffected.

One hand holding a book, the other in his pocket, not caring if a monster might attack him or not.

“I won’t know until I try.” She mumbled, holding her arm, regretting saying it.

“Nice delusion.” He chuckled huskily, hitching her breath.

She took a step back and a monster came out of nowhere.

Triple in size than an average wolf and with two heads, saliva dripping down his mouth.
