Chapter # 83

After Persephone left, Tristan was thrilled to espy at her outcome. He wanted to know what she was without her power.

Can she actually survive and this thought alone made him excited, he wanted to see her outcome.

But impotent to apprehend his actions, Jade hit his arm, not enlivened by his act.

"What did you do? How will you answer My Liege?" She scolded, worried about the outcome.

"Do you trust me, Jade?" He asked softly, cupping her cheek with his one hand.

His eyes were sternly assuring. She was stressed but the power of his words and eyes sealed her voice.

"I do but I am vexed about the consequences of your actions." She whispered, pressing her palm on his chest.

Lowering her gaze, she didn’t know what to say and if Persephone couldn’t survive it, this would bring destruction beyond recovery.

"Then trust me. It's alright." He whispered, kissing her forehead.

Placing his hand back on her shoulder, they walked again but her mind was still lingering on her what happened.
