Their reactions were not like as she has expected.
“What if Daniel doesn’t want to get married?” Aunt Marge suddenly asked.
She was worried that Daniel would have to give in to Celine again.
For the Stevensons, they place a high value to marriage and family. Since their businesses could easily attract those unscrupulous characters, they needed the kind of security that only blood and family could provide.
“Of course, Daniel will marry Celine. There’s no way that Daniel will object” Sylvia defended Celine from the Stevensons.
