CHAPTER 40 – Date Mix-up
She unconsciously looked at Daniel to see his reaction.
She was expecting annoyance, or fear or any negative reaction but she didn’t see any.
How could Daniel hide his emotions so well?
“Aunt Marge” he greeted.
Celine was trying to hear the voice from the other end.
She was surprised when she heard a soft and mellow voice.
She expected something like Minerva’s.
“I’m not available” she heard Daniel’s voice again.
She could hear him reply from time to time but she could not make up of what they were talking about.
“I don’t have time”
“I’ll see what I can do” he finally said then ended their call.
Daniel looked at the woman beside him and weighed in to tell her or not.
“Do you want to know or not?” he teased.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about” she denied.
