Paige’s POV

I dragged the sack of potatoes off the wooden cart and almost fell on my face. The sun was burning hot, and sweat stuck my clothes to my back. My arms were sore and my legs felt like jelly still, I didn’t stop the truth was I couldn’t for fear of being whipped.

Since I became an omega, all I did was work like a dog.The head maid made sure I never got a minute to breathe.

She shouted at me from morning till night and if I ever tried to slow down or catch my breath she yelled louder. If I paused to wipe my sweat, she threw a rag at my face.

“Move faster, omega!” she always said. “You’re not here to rest!”

Today was no different. I had just come from cleaning the Alpha’s halls and was now helping in the kitchen gardens. I stacked the last basket of vegetables and turned to get more.
