SIX YEARS LATER

On a huge island, in the middle of the ocean, stands a majestic building. Of course, this building belongs to none other than me, Yvonne.

I sat on the couch in my garden, taking in the fresh morning breeze and sipping some liquor from the glass of wine I was holding with my legs crossed.

I recalled how I got to the level I am now, and a smile crept onto my lips. At the same time, I felt sad about the sad memories, both the ones I experienced in Moonstone Pack and what I went through fending for myself and my babies while studying at a college. I would go to lectures during the day and use the night to work in a restaurant where I served as a waitress.

It was not easy for me because I was depriving myself of sleep. I worked till midnight, when there would be no customers, before leaving for my apartment. My boss provided me with an apartment that was beside the restaurant, so I could easily walk home after work without the need to board a cab or trek at midnight.

It was after I was banished from the pack that I discovered I was pregnant. I recalled the incident that occurred the last day I trained—the nauseaness

Of course, Conan was responsible for the pregnancy, but he never knew I was pregnant and banished me to be with Sophia. Even I was not aware until my Tommy began swelling up. It was then that I went for a test, and the shocking news was revealed.

Nonetheless, I was not even pregnant with a baby, but with triplets. However, I had no option but to keep them because I detest abortion and talk more of aborting the first fruits of my womb after several attempts to get pregnant.

The news, which was supposed to be a joyous thing, turned into a sad one at the moment because I wasn't in a good state to have a baby talk more of babies. This was because I have no good job to take care of them, nor do I have a supporter.

"Grateful I made it finally," I mumbled inwardly, a smile creeping onto my lips.

"Mummy!"

"Mummy!"

"Mummy!"

I jolted and glanced back, only to see my three babies running towards me.

"Gosh, I thought you all were sleeping," I muttered.

"Mommy I thought we would go shopping today; you promised to take us out this week," Kiara, the first one, remarked.

"Yes, Mommy, you promised," Liam, the boy among them, uttered. He was a carbon copy of his father.

"And you promised to buy me ice cream, Mom," Amelia, the last one, added.

"Yes, I said so, but this week isn't over yet, sweethearts. Mommy keeps her promises, doesn't she?"

Just as we were discussing, my phone began ringing; however, upon glancing at the screen to know the caller ID, I sighed upon noticing it was the managing director of the hospital I work with.

"Another medical case. I thought I was off from work this week; what's this call about?" I wondered because Mr. Thomas had never called me during my off days at work.

I picked up the call and placed the phone on my ear.

"Hello, good morning," he said from the other end of the call.

"Good morning, Director," I responded, waiting for him to spill out his request.

"Doctor Yvonne, please, I'm sorry I'm requesting this from you, but you need to do it for us," he stated.

"Sir, name the request, and I'll help if I'm able to," I responded.

"There is a medical case we received just now, and after several thoughts about who could handle it well among the doctors, you came to my mind; your skills are amazing," he stated.

I gulped down upon hearing that. "I know it would be this," I monologued.

"Are you there with me?" he questioned as I was silent over his phrase.

"Of course, sir. I'm still on the line," I replied.

"Good. So the patient is from Moonstone Pack, and his condition is so critical that he demands he be treated in his palace," he explained.

My eyebrows arched upon hearing the last word, "Palace". At first, he mentioned the patient was from Moonstone Pack, and now he mentioned he wants to be treated in his palace.

"I hope it's not what I'm thinking," I mumbled inwardly, letting out a smirk.

"Alright, sir, I've heard you, but could you tell me the name of the patient?" I requested, trying to make sure he was not who I was thinking, because if it was him, then I was not taking the offer.

"Actually, his name is Conan, the Alpha of the pack; any problem?" he questioned.

"Um, sir, I'm sorry, but I don't think I can help in this case," I responded.

This was the man I had sworn never to encounter in my life any longer because of what he made me go through. Although I know Conan's decision to banish me from the pack was because of Sophia's accusation, but he was the one who gave Sophia space in his life that led to all this.

"Why, what happened, Doctor Yvonne?" Mr. Thomas questioned. "You were willing to handle this case, then suddenly you changed your mind. What is the problem? Is it about money? Of course, there is a big cash prize waiting for you; the Alpha promised that he's ready to divide his wealth, and whoever could help him out of the condition would take the greater percentage, he's a prominent man and wealthy, don't worry he'll keep to his promise," he explained.

I giggled slightly. Only if wealth was still my problem now. Had it been years ago when I was struggling that I got the offer, I might have taken it without giving it a second thought, but now money means nothing to me anymore, I have enough money.

"Yvonne, please don't turn this offer down. We need to strike this deal because it would make us go global," Mr. Thomas explained. "If not for anything, do it for me, please," he pleaded.

I sighed helplessly upon hearing his pleas. I wanted to reject it immediately, but a flashback of how I knew Mr. Thomas flashed through my mind.

He was the one behind my growth. Mr. Thomas was the one who helped me secure this job as a doctor in this hospital at the point I had lost hope because of what it takes to be a mere cleaner or security personnel at Queens Hospital, talk less of a doctor. You must be from a well-known family to get a job here.

"Well, sir, I'll accept it," I responded, clenching my lips. I could not turn him down when he needed me the most, moreover, this was the first time he had asked for a favor from me.

"Thank you very much, Yvonne, I'm...

"Um, sir. Not to disrespect you, but I'll do the job under a condition," I remarked.

"Please name what you want," he responded instantly.

"The Alpha needs to sign an agreement that I and my kids will not encounter any harm or similar issues, and I won't stay in the palace till I'm done with him," I stated, my voice bold enough to let him know I wasn't joking about it.

Two Months Later SOPHIA — I was lying helplessly today on the corner of the gutter when a car ran across me, splashing me with dirty water from the potholes as usual. To my greatest surprise, the car halted and the driver alighted. It was a lady. I thought she was coming to scold me for not avoiding her car at first, but I was shocked to my bone marrow as I noticed it was Yvonne. "Oh my goodness! Sophia, is this you?" she screamed as she noticed I'm the person. She must be really happy. Tears streamed down my cheeks immediately because I concluded that she would make a joke of me, but the reverse was the case. She ran to me and helped me get up. "Yvonne, I'm really sorry for everything I have made you pass through in life," I apologized, crying. "It's okay, Sophia. That is not necessary right now. You need proper medical attention first. That is the most important thing," she said, opening the back door of the car for me to enter. "Get in the car so we can leave for the hospita

YVONNE —Three days later, the DNA result was finally out, and I was really happy about it. This was because it proved positive. Conan is actually the father of the kid—he is the father of all my kids. This means I will be going back to the pack. At least he could see his baby for the first time.Although I had agreed with Mr. Thomas on his request to go back to Conan, but I am still sceptical about it.I was still in my room robbing some body cream and powder on my baby when Amanda walked in."You are still worried about this. I thought he made a promise to you about your career. Didn't he?" Amanda asked me as she walked. It seems she had been eavesdropping from the door for a long time before she walked. Of course, for her to notice I was worried, she must have heard the disturbing murmuring I had been having with myself here for almost thirty minutes."Not really, dear. I was just having a debate over something that had... ""A debate?""Whatever, Amanda. Please just let me be. By

YVONNE —"Alright, Mommy, but remember your promise," Kiara stated, and they started leaving reluctantly. As soon as they left, I let out a deep sigh of relief. I could not believe that I had just managed to avoid the question Kiara asked without them suspecting I did not want to answer the question."By the time you would be back, I believe Amanda would be at home, so she could continue with you guys. It is only if you guys see me by then that you will be requesting an answer concerning Kiara's question," I mumbled.I picked up my phone and dialed Dr. Naty's phone number. I need to call her and inquire about our deal because she has yet to call me.As I dialed the number, the phone rang for a few seconds, and it ended without being picked up by someone."Maybe she is still busy with work in the hospital," I mumbled, dropping my phone.I went to the kitchen to get lunch ready for my kids because I did not know exactly when Amanda would be back for me to depend on her to prepare lunch

YVONNE —One Week LaterI was just returning from the hospital, and the thought of my discussion with Mr. Thomas kept flashing through my mind as I was driving.I could not believe that I had just agreed to his request. Only if he knew that I did that out of pressure."Well, the DNA test will conclude," I muttered.I had managed to reach out to Sophia and requested that she get me Dr. Naty's contact information after she objected to doing the task, saying that she is avoiding Conan because he would kill her upon seeing her. It was then that I told her to get me Dr. Naty's phone number so she could do the job for me.At first, Dr. Naty argued about doing the job, but when I told her the reward for the project, she quickly hopped on it.She told me the job would take her a week because of the procedures she was to follow, so Conan would not suspect anything wrong. However, it has been one week since I gave her the job, so I am waiting for her feedback today."I hope this works out well

  • Craving My Rejected Mate: Mommy, Please Help Daddy!   177: A Perfect Idea

YVONNE —But how am I going to do that when none of the two men are with me here in New York City?I thought for some time but could not come up with a valid idea."No. I need to do something fast," I muttered and stood up to leave for my room.As I walked into my room, I remembered that I had spoken with Sophia a few days ago. I recalled how I ended the call with her, promising to call her back only not to call as I said."I think she is the person who can work this out for me since she is in the pack. Yes, she is cunning and could do all sorts of dirty jobs," I mumbled. I picked up my phone to dial her number, and immediately, I realized that she told me she did not have a phone anymore. She only called me that day through a call agent.I decided to secretly get the blood samples of Conan and his hair to do the DNA test in the city without going to the pack just so I could be sure he is truly the father of my baby."So how do I reach this girl, for goodness sake?" I wondered.A few

  • Craving My Rejected Mate: Mommy, Please Help Daddy!   176: A Quickie

YVONNE —"Girl, I could not even believe you did this to me in the office," I said to Amanda as I walked out to the sitting room, where she was busy watching movies."I'm really sorry, dear. For real, I can't believe I did that. It was as if a spell was cast on me. I could not even raise my gaze anymore until the moment he asked for my contact," she stated."Oh, you both exchanged phone numbers as well?" I asked, chuckling.I never even knew all that happened in the office. It was the moment I left for my office to get Mr. Thomas what he requested I should get him that they did that. I had thought he really needed those files, unaware that he was just trying to send me out of the office to excuse them just so they could have their moment."Maybe that was the reason you insisted on going with me just so you could perch yourself on him," I remarked, feeling infuriated. How could she do that to me? How could she stoop so low just for a man?
