"How did this happen..?" I said under my breath and my jaw clenched tightly, as Larry showed me a message from the head of borderlines.

"Damn it" I added, blood rushing through my veins from trying to contain my anger.

Lucas had somehow gone behind my back to invite our human investors here. This happens to be a project I have been silently working on and putting into consideration for weeks, before putting it out there for the council to decide. I have no idea how he must have found out about it, but I am not letting him ruin everything I have been working on.
