Damon's pov

The sound of vital signs monitor echoed in the room, and I stood beside her bed, my gaze fixed on her as she sleeps but flinch in between. The bruises on her face and lips are evident, and the white bandage wrapped around her head covers a good side of her face, with cast on her left hand and right leg, yet she look radiant.

I am glad that she is much stabilized, and l am proud of her for fighting for her survival, regardless it breaks my heart that she has to go through all of this.

I rushed down here after receiving a message from Henry that Lara was conscious and out of coma, but before l could get here she had fallen back into deep sleep.

The sound of the door opening broke me out of my long stare and l was taken back to see Dr.Smith making his way in.
