Valen’s POV

"What is happening here?" Veyra's voice made my heart stop completely. Not again! I knew that I wanted to break up with her, but I didn’t want her catching me doing something wrong. If I wanted to break up with her, I wanted you to be purely her fault. I could not go through that emotional turmoil of trying to twist the whole narrative. It was exhausting.

Gina and I broke apart so fast I nearly fell off my chair. Veyra had caught us again. What were we going to tell her this time?
