Veyra pov

I don't know why I smile when Alpha Theo's eyes widen with a shock.Definitely,he wasn't expecting such a bold declaration from me.

I watch as his expressions change from shock to disbelief then a glare sits on his handsome face after he recovers.

“Are you crazy Veyra? Did you hit your head against the wall or forget your brain back at the party?” He fires. I open my mouth to retort but he cuts me off,seemingly unfinished.

“What kind of nonsense are you spouting? Are you drunk?” He narrows his eyes at me,even taking a step closer and leaning to smell my breath. I take a step back,a glare fixed on his face.

I can feel him trying to sound stern but his dark eyes can't conceal that forbidden emotion flickering inside.

“ Do I look like a crazy person right now or drunk? I know what I am saying and I definitely meant what I said.” I answer and watch as he groans, pulling at his hair in frustration.

“ Do you even realize what you are asking for?” He asks and I nod.

“ You are my son's best friend. ” He reminds me and I roll my eyes.

“ So what? It's not like he is my mate.” I counter. My voice however can't contain the bitterness I feel down deep. I am still reeling in the after shocks of his betrayal. We made a promise and he broke it . He didn't even have the courage to look me in the eye and tell me that he changed his mind about us. He chose the most brutal way to do it, giving the pack members a reason to gossip about me.

I don't need anyone to tell me what they had whispered throughout the night. Every glance they threw my way said it all.

“ Is this about his decision to choose your best friend as his mate? Veyra, I didn't know…”

“ You would not have stopped him even if you knew, right?” I cut him off. Alpha Theo looks away, guilt painting his face. I scoff.

“ Since that's the case, I don't need your pity. I came here with a request. All I need to know is if you are up to the task.”

I know what I am doing is pathetic, wrong even but at this point, I don't care. Gina thought she could challenge me. And Valen? He humiliated me.

“ Let me get this straight. You want to use me to get revenge on my son? For choosing someone else?” He inquires and shake my head.

“Not just revenge. I want him to regret ever messing with my feelings and taking me for a fool.” I declare,my anger slowly rising just thinking about how Valen made fun of me that evening.

“ You can't just request something so absurd because…”

“ His mate swore to ruin me just because she has him by her side.” I cut him off. I don't want to listen to his self righteous words.

“She what?” Alpha Theo asks,a frown marred on his face.

“ You heard me. She doesn't love him and I don't know what charm she used on him but I am not letting her win.” I say with a smile.

“Where am I coming in all this mess?” Theo asks and a wicked smile paints my lips.

“ You are the Alpha, Theo. Can you imagine the look on her face when she realises that I have you,the father-in-law?”

“ I can't help you,Veyra.” Alpha Theo announces with a sigh.

I did expect some protest from him but a blatant rejection? That was out of my expectations. I can't deny that it hurts hearing his refusal.

“ Ouch, that hurts.” I reply, keeping my gaze at him.

“Veyra,I am old enough to be your father.” He declares. I roll my eyes at such a petty excuse.

“Yeah,old enough to be my father. But are you my father?” I ask,cornering him.

“I want you Alpha. I don't care about your age. I want you to fuck me like I've never been before.”

If he thinks turning me down will stop me, then he is clearly mistaken. I came here prepared and I am not leaving without getting what I want.

“ Do this for me and for yourself.” I add, stepping closer and running my well manicured fingers across his chest.

“ What do you mean by that?” He asks with a narrowed gaze. I can see the doubt concealed in his orbs,the silent prayer that I am not aware of his dirty little secret.

I smile in victory.

“ I know your dirty little secret.

I have noticed how you look at me. How you undress me with your eyes.How you wish you can drag me to your bed and fuck me senseless. I have seen it all.

This is your chance. I get my revenge and you get to fulfill your wishes.” I entice him,my fingers slowly slipping insíde his now half buttoned shirt.

Theo seems taken aback, shocked even by my declaration. I was right. He didn't expect me to know how he feels about me. I must admit,he hid his feelings quite well. I wouldn't have known if I didn't eavesdrop as he jerked off in his office as my name played repeatedly in his mouth.

At first,I was terrified. After all, Valen and I had plans to get mated.

It wasn't until his beloved son pulled that stunt on me that I started thinking about him as a man and not my future father -in-law.

“That's nonsense.” Theo denies it blatantly,his gaze wandering everywhere except on me.

“ Is it?” I challenge,my hands sliding downwards. I run them across his semi hard clothed member and he groans. When his eyes meet mine,I see the fire brewing inside. The kind that burns without leaving anything behind. My insides clench and something coils inside my stomach.

“ You are playing a dangerous game,Veyra.” Alpha Theo warns me but I smirk in return.

“ I love playing dangerous games. I don't mind.”

Alpha Theo suddenly grabs my hands and pins them above my head.His other palm reconnects with my ass cheeks and I cry in delight as the pain sips through my flesh.

“ Are you sure this is what you want? To have my cock invade your insides,own your pussy and destroy it with my thrusts?

I am at the pantry shop where I work after I finish my morning training routine.

I have always loved baking so after my eighteenth birthday, my brother helped me set up this shop.

It's afternoon and I usually get few to no customers at this time.

I smile when my mind wanders to what transpired between me and Alpha Theo last night. It was wonderful and magical. I never knew my body could scream and sing for a man who isn't my mate like it did last night.

The Alpha left me panting for my breath yet yearning for more of him.

The door is pushed open and a fuming Valen saunters towards me. I frown, annoyed by his presence.

“ Is it true?” Valen asks. I regard him then turn around and ignore him. The audacity of him to barge here after the humiliation he put me through. It doesn't seem like he came to apologise but to question me?

“ Veyra, I asked a fucking question.” He growls and my annoyance doubles.

“ You've got the balls to barge here and shout at me? After what you did?” I scream back.

Valen scoffs, casting me a disdainful look.

“ Is that why you went after my father? Of all people?” He accuses. My heart skips but I keep my composure, unfazed by his accusation. I don't know how much he knows, not like I care.

“ So what if I did? Do you have a problem with that?” I retort.

“ I always thought you had Daddy issues but isn't this going too far? That's my fucking Dad.” Valen roars,the veins on his face popping one after the other.

“So what if he is? He wants me and he chose me unlike you who betrayed the promise we made to each other.”

“You fucked my father?” Valen asks,a look of disbelief and a hint of pain flickering in his face.

“Are you so desperate for my attention that you stooped low to sleep with a man old enough to be your father?” Valen screams and I shrug.

“What did you just say?” A familiar voice asks and we both turn around to see a fuming face.
