Mira
My mouth fell open, and I couldn’t even hide my surprise. This man was gorgeous. I had seen good looking men before, but he was on an entirely different level. “Mira, meet my dad,” Anna repeated, snapping me out of my completely inappropriate thoughts about all the ways I could gladly devour this man. Anna and I met at a bookstore last month. We clicked instantly and became close fast. Since then, she had been begging me to come over to her house, and now here I was, standing in front of the most breathtaking man I had ever laid eyes on. He was tall, broad-shouldered and dressed in a simple black shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his forearms, exposing tan skin and veins that should honestly be illegal. His dark hair was slightly messy, like he had run his fingers through it one too many times and his sharp jawline looked carved by the gods themselves. And those eyes… God. His gaze landed on me calmly, yet there was something intense under it that made my stomach tighten. “Dad, this is Mira,” Anna said excitedly. “The friend I told you about.” His lips curved into a slow smile, deep and confident enough to make my knees weak. “So you’re Mira,” he said, his voice was low and smooth. “I’ve heard a lot about you.” I swallowed hard, forcing myself to remember how human interaction worked. “Good things, I hope,” I managed to reply. His smile widened slightly. “That depends.” “You can call me Bruce,” he said with an easy smile. “Come in and make yourself at home.” I nodded, still trying to act normal while my brain short-circuited over how attractive this man was. The house was just as stunning as him, with warm lighting, expensive furniture, and the kind of effortless elegance that screamed old money without trying too hard. Family pictures lined the walls, most of them were of Anna and Bruce together. Before I could look longer, Anna grabbed my wrist and dragged me upstairs. “Come on! I’ll show you my room.” The second we stepped inside, I glanced around curiously. Her room was cozy and colorful, filled with books, fairy lights, and little sketches pinned to the wall. “Your mom isn’t home?” I asked casually. Anna’s smile faded almost instantly. “She’s rarely home,” she muttered, sitting on the edge of her bed. “Always on business trips. It’s always just been me and Dad.” “Oh,” I said softly, suddenly regretting asking. There was a brief awkward silence before the door opened again. Bruce walked in carrying a tray of snacks and drinks like some unreal domestic fantasy designed specifically to ruin my peace of mind. “Hope you girls are enjoying yourselves,” he said. “Yes,” I replied quickly, sitting up straighter. “Your home is lovely.” I smiled politely, trying my best to keep my voice steady even though my pulse was doing something ridiculous in my throat. Bruce’s eyes stayed on me for just a second longer than necessary or maybe I was imagining it. God, I hoped I wasn’t. “Thank you,” he said, his deep voice was smooth like aged whiskey. “You’re welcome here anytime, Mira.” The way he said my name made heat crawl up my neck. He set the tray of snacks down on Anna’s desk, it contained fresh juice, some fancy chocolates and little sandwiches that looked too perfect to eat. Then he gave us both a smile before stepping back. “I’ll leave you girls to it. Call me if you need anything.” The door clicked shut behind him. Anna flopped onto her bed with a dramatic sigh. “He’s such a dad sometimes. Overprotective but sweet. You okay? You looked like you were buffering for a second there.” I laughed, a little too loud, and dropped onto the chair by her window. “He’s… intense. In a good way. How are you not used to that?” She shrugged, already digging into the chocolates. “I mean, he’s just Dad to me. Handsome, sure, but I’ve seen him in dad mode too many times, burning pancakes, embarrassing me with corny jokes, the whole thing.” I nodded like I understood, but my mind was still replaying the way Bruce’s shirt stretched across his shoulders when he leaned down to place the tray. The faint scent of his cologne that drifted past when he walked by. The low timbre of his voice. We spent the next hour talking about books, the new romance novel we both pretended not to be obsessed with, and college plans. But every time I heard footsteps in the hallway, my stomach flipped. Later, when Anna went downstairs to grab drinks, I stepped out of her room to find the bathroom. The house was quiet. As I passed what looked like Bruce’s study, the door was slightly ajar. I shouldn’t have looked but I did. He was at his desk, reading glasses perched on his nose, the sleeves of his button-down rolled up to his forearms. The sight hit me low in the belly. When he glanced up and caught me staring, instead of looking annoyed, the corner of his mouth lifted in a slow, lazy smile. “Lost, Mira?” “I….bathroom,” I managed, my cheeks burning. “Second door on the right.” He didn’t look away. “Take your time.” I nodded quickly and hurried down the hall, my heart hammering like I’d been caught doing something filthy. When I came back out, Anna was still downstairs. Bruce was now standing in the hallway, leaning against the wall like he’d been waiting. “Everything alright?” he asked. “Yeah. Your house is really beautiful,” I said again, stupidly. “So you’ve mentioned.” His eyes traced my face, then lowered for half a second before returning to my eyes. “Anna’s mentioned you a lot. Said you’re sharp, funny. Easy on the eyes, clearly.” I swallowed. He stepped just a little closer, not enough to be obvious, but enough that I could smell him again, that clean, masculine scent that made my thoughts scatter. “I’m glad you finally came over,” he murmured. “I was curious about the girl who’s been taking up so much of my daughter’s time.” Before I could think of a reply, Anna’s voice floated up from the stairs. “Mira! I got the good snacks!”Matilda’s POV(6) One Friday evening, I finished my shift later than usual. I was tired and my feet hurt from standing all day. I changed out of my uniform and came back into the café to buy a bottle of water before leaving. That was when I saw Marcus. He was sitting alone at a table, his jacket hanging over the back of his chair. His phone was beside him, and he looked like he had been staring at the same document for hours. He noticed me. “Matilda. You’re finished?” “Yes. I’m about to leave.” “Come and sit for a minute.” I hesitated. “Why?” “Because I want to ask you something.” I glanced toward the counter. My manager was busy with another customer. “I can’t sit for too long.” “I won’t keep you.” I should have said no. Instead, I walked over and sat opposite him. Then he turned his tablet toward me. “Tell me what you think about this.” I looked at the screen. It was a business proposal filled with figures, charts, and long paragraphs. I frowned as I bega
Matilda’s POV Curiosity got the better of me, and I opened it. My eyes widened. There was money inside. A lot more than I had expected. I quickly looked around, wondering if there had been a mistake. “Ma’am, did he leave this for me?” Mrs. Collins nodded. “He said it was a tip.” I stared at the money again. That was more than I usually earned in several shifts. “Are you sure?” “Quite sure. He specifically asked me to make sure you received it.” I swallowed. Marcus had left me a tip, avery generous one. I slipped the money back into the envelope and placed it carefully inside my bag. I didn’t know what to think. It was kind of him, certainly but it was also unexpected. I had done nothing special. I had simply served their food and answered their questions. Why would he leave me so much money? I shook my head. Perhaps wealthy people simply did things like that. I had no way of knowing. That evening when I got home, I was sitting on my bed when Vanessa called cause
Matilda’s POV “Matilda, table six needs their order!” I quickly picked up the tray and turned toward the counter. “Coming!” It was Saturday afternoon, and the café was busier than usual. Customers filled almost every table, and I had barely had time to sit down since my shift started. I carefully arranged the drinks on my tray before walking toward table six. Working part-time at the café wasn’t exactly my dream job, but it helped me pay for some of my expenses without constantly asking my parents for money. Besides, I liked having my own money. Even if it wasn’t much. “Here you go,” I said, placing the drinks on the table. “Thank you.” I smiled politely before returning to the counter. My manager, Mrs. Collins, was standing near the cash register, checking some receipts. “Matilda, two gentlemen just came in. Can you attend to them?” “Of course.” I picked up two menus and turned toward the entrance. Then I stopped. For a moment, I wondered if I was seeing t
Matilda’s POVVanessa smiled and wrapped her arms around him. “Marcus!”He kissed her cheek before resting a hand on her waist. I stood quietly, trying not to stare. So this was Marcus. The man Vanessa had been talking about and how he loved spending on her. She pulled away and turned toward me. “Marcus, this is my best friend, Matilda. The one I told you about.” He looked at me. For a moment, his eyes stayed on my face longer than I expected. Then he smiled. “Matilda.” “Hello.” He extended his hand, and I shook it. “Vanessa talks about you quite a bit.” I glanced at my friend. “Hopefully, she tells you the good things.”“Mostly.” He chuckled. Vanessa playfully hit his arm. “Marcus!” I laughed. He looked at me again. “So, you’re the serious one?” “I wouldn’t say that.” “No?” “I just have a lot to do.” “Such as?” “School, assignments, tests.” He nodded. “Important things.” “Exactly.” “That’s good.” I wasn’t sure what to make of him. He was polite, but there was
Matilda’s POV“I don’t spend my entire life reading.”She raised an eyebrow. “Really? When was the last time you went out with me?”I opened my mouth, then closed it.She pointed at me triumphantly. “Exactly!”“Where’s the party?” I sighed Her face lit up. “That’s my girl!”“I didn’t say I was going.”“But you asked where it was. That’s progress.”I laughed despite myself. Then she grabbed her phone and started showing me pictures of the venue.Apparently, some older students were organizing it at a popular club outside campus. The place looked very expensive.“Vanessa, how much is the entrance fee?”She waved her hand dismissively. “Don’t worry about it.”“Why?”“Because I said so.”I narrowed my eyes.“You’re not planning something strange, are you?”She looked offended. “Me? Never!”I stared at her. She lasted about three seconds before bursting into laughter.“Fine! I’ll tell you later.”I shook my head and picked up my book again.——————————————-When it was Friday evening, Vanes
Matilda’s POV“Matilda, walk faster! We’re going to be late!”I turned to look at Vanessa, who was walking ahead of me with her phone in her hand.“You’re the one who spent almost an hour choosing what to wear!”She turned around and stuck out her tongue at me.“And I looked good, didn’t I?”I rolled my eyes. There was no arguing with Vanessa when she was in this mood.We arrived on campus and about twenty minutes later she had already taken more than ten pictures. I honestly didn’t understand how she did it.We were supposed to be finding our department, but Vanessa seemed more interested in taking pictures than locating our classroom.“Can we please focus on finding our lecture hall?” I asked.“Relax, professor. We have time.”“You said the same thing ten minutes ago.”“And we’re still alive.”I shook my head and continued walking. The campus was much bigger than I had imagined. Students were everywhere, some walking in groups while others sat under trees, chatting and laughing. A f
Bruce’s expression shifted back to polite dad mode in an instant, but there was still heat in his eyes when he looked at me.“Better get back to her,” he said softly. The rest of the evening passed in a warm blur of laughter, more snacks and Anna showing me her massive book collection. But the mome
Then he pushed one thick finger slowly inside me. I gasped, my walls clenching around him as he started thrusting in and out, curling just right. The wet sounds filled the car.“Oh god…” I moaned. He added a second finger, stretching me, thrusting faster. His thumb found my clit and rubbed in tight
“I’m tired, Mom,” I cut her off, my voice sharper than I intended. “It was fine. I just… need to sleep.”She frowned, clearly sensing something was off, but I didn’t give her a chance to press. I headed straight upstairs, closed my bedroom door and leaned against it, breathing hard.“Who does she t
Saturday evening finally arrived, and I was buzzing with nervous excitement. I’d spent way too long getting ready, standing in front of the mirror for what felt like hours. I settled on a soft, knee-length wine-red dress that clung gently to my waist and hips without being too tight or revealing. T
