Amid this chaos, only Alexis understood the weight of the situation. Cade was oblivious to the result of his action; his best friend was clouded by lust driven by heat and love, which results in unplanned marking. In his second year of middle school, with all the tendencies of changing feelings, he was marked.

"You! you already mark my friend. Marked omegas can't mate with other alphas and during their heat, only their alpha can satisfy them. However, mark alphas can still be affected by other omegas' pheromones, not as much as their mated omega but still..."

Alexis continued to explain, he felt the need to do so as he noticed that out of the three of them, he was the only one who was concerned and had the heart to worry.
