Chapter 4 - Chosen

Gamma Dimitri’s POV

The day began as any other day, but I knew that it was going to be special for Gamma Gabe, Gabe is a great guy, and I feel as though we are as close to brother’s as I am with my real ones.  He has a wonderful outlook on life, he is always upbeat and has just the right amount of crazy inside him.  He’s a Gamma through and through and I’ve learned a lot from him when the two packs joined together when our Alpha’s union took place.

I can’t help but tease him first thing as we get our day started and I watch in amusement as Alpha Abigail gives him her smug smile, yea, she will love him being her brother in law, but if he’s not she will also love screwing with him about losing 4 years of hunting down his fated for her egotistical sister. 

The best part of my day today is training the younger pups at the school, watching them grow and become stronger is something that makes me feel pride.  To know that if any of them need to defend themselves that they stand a chance of at least getting away to safety.  Today I have the male pups and as usual, Tyler and Lynx are front and center, Alpha blood does it to you.  I have the same blood, and it makes you want to do your best in physical combat, it also makes you stronger and more protective of your pack.    We finish stretching and I send them off to do 8 laps around the track and then we will learn some fighting techniques.  I watch because the female pups are already running the track, and I want to see just how the males act when they pass the females.

I sit next to Gabe as he talks but my mind is on the track as I watch the males now pass the females and anger starts to rise when I watch one pull at Brooklyn’s pony tail as another runs backwards in front of her.  Gabe makes a comment about him not remembering being such an ass when he was their age, but I’m livid because I was 10 times worse when I liked a girl at that age.  I don’t know why it’s bothering me so much, perhaps it’s because I personally know Brooklyn, she is tiny for her age and the weakest of the Alpha family, but it’s not sitting right with me and these young pups will know not to fucking do it again.  I wink at her as she walks by and her little cheeks are red, she’s probably embarrassed about what the pups did to her out there, but I’ll take care of it right now.

I cross my arms over my chest and arch a brow to the male pups, “let me explain to you what a real man is and how one is to act when around females,” I watch the two boys squirm a bit and chuckle inwardly.  “If you think it is manly to touch a female without her consent or speak to her without respect, you are dead wrong and if I ever see any of you behaving in such a way, you will answer to me.”  I watch as Tyler and Lynx look around at all the others and then back at me, it’s not that they are above it, but they have sisters and will not allow them to be disrespected.  I smile at the young pups, “do you all understand,” I get nods and then yes’s from all the pups.  I pair the pups up and give them a few moves to practice on one another and then allow them to leave.

After we are done I walk with Gabe back to the pack house and we discuss our plans for tomorrow and I can’t help but smile at him, “that sounds great, but if you are tied up in bed with your new mate, that’s a lot for just me to do.”

He smiles sheepishly, “well I doubt that her father will allow that to happen right away, and I’ll need something to keep my mind busy if she is or isn’t.”

I put my hand on his shoulder, “got it, now I have a gift to go buy, I have my own plans tonight, and I’m serious about what I told you.”   The look on his face is priceless and I can’t help but laugh, “you didn’t get her a gift did you,” it’s not a question but a statement.  I laugh, “come on you can come with me, I’m sure you’ll be able to find something where I’m going.”

I found the perfect necklace, one that will show my mate just how much she means to me and that I am serious about us choosing each other as mates. 

I place the small box in my pocket and get to the community center, I find Ava and pull her to me and place a tender kiss to her sweet lips and she blushes, “wow, did you miss me today, Dimi,” she giggles. 

I can’t help but want to pull her from this entire event and take her to my room and fuck her so hard that I am the only person she ever wants to think about, “yes, I really did and you look so fucking sexy in this dress, but I know you are sexier out of it.”

She smiles sweetly and hums, “hmm, later lover, we can slip out of here once Teresa is here, we won’t be noticed,” she kisses my cheek, and I squeeze her ass, and she yelps.

I look around and notice Tyler and Linx flanking Sofia and Brooklyn, those boys are fine young pups, Tyler is 11 and almost as tall as Lynx is at 17.  The music is playing, and I remember how I said I wanted to dance with both girls.  I walk over and bow to Sofia, “may I have this dance?”

She giggles, “of course Gamma Dimitri.”

I wink at Brooklyn and whisper in her ear, “you’re next,” she smiles wide.

I take Sofia to the dance floor, and she giggles as I twirl her around until the song ends.

I walk her back and extend my hand to Brooklyn, her dark blue eyes twinkle up at me when a growl erupts, and the word “MINE” hits my ears.
