Chapter Seventy-Two

I woke up this morning with a pounding headache and my pendant was shining a bright white. As usual, I did not know what that meant, but I was going to stay alert the whole time. I was already afraid of what to expect. My mind was all over the place and with this anxiety in my gut I couldn’t help but suspect everyone around me. Since I’ve possessed this pendant I have never seen it act this way. I was so afraid but I couldn’t show it.

I got dressed for school then hopped into Ken’s car. I switched on my phone and there were no messages from anyone. Ken was telling me about the football practice and Tiffany and something about his mom I didn’t quite catch. My brain kept drifting in and out of reality. It was like I was being pulled somewhere else unwillingly.

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Ken, He was quiet now, humming whatever was playing on the radio.
