CHAPTER 18 — WE ARE AS LIGHT AS THE WIND.
ONE WEEK LATER. FRIDAY
A week had passed since I star gazed was with Dawn. The early light of dawn in the morning reminded me of her and I cherished every moment we shared, reliving it over and over again in my head.
I felt myself becoming more and more attached to Tia and sometimes she’d even caught me staring at her from across the room, I’d quickly avert my eyes but that didn’t take away the awkwardness that came with it. FRIDAYI had swooped Tia, running as fast as I could. I glanced back periodically, and spotted the beasts. They were about five foot in height and were indeed chasing after us.I ran faster and faster, I could now see the beginning of the forest. The beast would have probably gotten us but I was faster. I leapt about ten feet into the air. SATURDAYThe light around me was bright and highly disturbing. I blinked a few times before opening my eyes. I was lying on the ground, in East valley. I didn't know how I could tell this was the forest, I just knew it was. I was in a shaded area; an all around me was illuminated with intense yellow sunlight."How did I get here?" SUNDAYIf anyone had told me that I would get a second, stranger visit with the higher court, I would have said they were lying. MONDAYWe rarely ate so we didn't even need to brush. Just a good gurgling with mouth wash did a surprisingly good job. I remained in my room.
