CHAPTER 17 — MAKE A WISH.
FRIDAY
Night fell, the rest were not back from their activities and the only other person in the house was Leya. I glanced at the clock, it was past eight. I checked the kitchen but there was no flask, probably Jhan would bring it with him back.
Leya who was in the silence of her room, had finally decided to go to school. Something I had talked her into. I had about two more hours of my own freedom till my family returned and I had to make the most of it.
I went to Leya's room and knocked on her door.
"Kaldar?"
"Yes Leya, it's me," I said, "I'll be leaving the house but I'll be back soon."
"Okay, I'll be fine," She said. I got downstairs and exited the door. Glancing to either side of the road before dashing down the sidewalks.

FRIDAYI had swooped Tia, running as fast as I could. I glanced back periodically, and spotted the beasts. They were about five foot in height and were indeed chasing after us.I ran faster and faster, I could now see the beginning of the forest. My heart was pounding in my chest and I could hear Tia's heart as it galloped inside her. I was almost out of the forest when I spotted a figure leap from our side towards us. The beast would have probably gotten us but I was faster. I leapt about ten feet into the air. SATURDAYThe light around me was bright and highly disturbing. I blinked a few times before opening my eyes. I was lying on the ground, in East valley. SUNDAYIf anyone had told me that I would get a second, stranger visit with the higher court, I would have said they were lying.
