When I was saved from prison by someone from another pack, my entire body was covered in wounds, still bleeding.

The healer was stunned by my state. While quickly casting an emergency healing spell, she encouraged me by my ear, "Hang in there! Everything will be fine!"

Days of torment had left me too weak to speak. All I could do was listen to the shocked, pitying gasps of the bystanders.

I tried my best to reach for the healer's sleeve. I wanted to ask her to save my child first.

However, I couldn't make a sound even though my mouth was open. My throat burned as if filled with thousands of needles.

When the healer pushed me into the emergency room, we passed by a patient who happened to be listening to an interview.

Ross' cold voice sounded from the microphone. "I don't know her."

It felt like I'd been struck by lightning—physical pain and heartbreak crashing together, leaving me breathless.
