Painful truths

Fermion POV.

A light hum had me glancing up as Grayson walked into the office with a sullen Jared tagging behind and they both collapsed into their respective seats while I stared at them.

This was unlike them. Hence why I was so puzzled at how they were looking.

“What's up with you both?” I asked, tearing up an invitation into two from a neighboring pack about their alpha selection and Luna crowning. As if I cared or gave two fucks who they crowned and didn't crown.

“Eliana made a meeting with Myra and Grayson happen, after that he's been practically glowing this past few days” my brows shot up to my head as I glanced at the love struck Grayson.

“What?” I asked, the sentence sounding foreign to my ears. Eliana did what?. How did that even happen?.

“You heard me. I went to meet her to help me but she says I have to pay for her services” he crossed his hands and I smiled, happy that Eliana was finally giving us some of her trust. Even if it hurt that it wasn't me first but I understood that she needed some time to get her self together in this mates bonding.

“I didnt know how she did it. But Myra met me at my meadow and we talked. She even gave me a kiss” the fuck? I stared him down and his face turned serious instantly.

“Too much information. You seem to have quite a lot of time on your hands. You need more patients?” I asked and he glared at me me.

He always got more patients but that was when I decided to take care of one of these packs after they stepped out of line but he didn't like wars. So I used that each time in him.

“I got information on the pack. Alpha” a voice filled my ears just as a knock came on my door and I called out.

“Enter” Logan walked in with some papers which he passed to me and I took them.

Opening them, I saw a simple name above it. Crescent Moon Pack. That was the pack Eliana had been rescued from during my battle with them.

I had also marked them out for two reasons, to find Osiris if he was still alive because the way he sounded when he met with me was not that ify a man living in a peaceful pack.

But also for their involvement with the sex trafficking.

I had lost the alpha and his son and someone else when it happened because they had escaped and left the pack behind when news of my arrival reached them.

Cowards.

I pulled it open and found so much there that had my blood boiling. There were pictures of Eliana smiling but they were few but two of them stood out to me.

One was her smiling with a man behind her and a woman by her side, the man was Osiris. The same man from many years ago.

What had happened to him? Wait a minute.

My mind flashed back to the first day here when Eliana had gone to the lake to send off her dead.

Four sunflowers and one black wolf. Two must be for her parents, Osiris and this woman but the other two?.

I surged to my feet as a fearful thought rushed through my head and I left the office instantly, leaving them all puzzled as I went to the training grounds where I found Eliana laid under a tree.

“Hey” I called out and she startled but smiled when she saw who it was and that made me almost smile.

“Who was the other two?” I asked before she could say anything and her face showed confusion for a single minute before pain flashed in them.

“My mother was pregnant with twins. They were boys” she whispered, her voice broken and I felt pain almost cripple me as i fel to my knees and pulled her into me.

She buried her face into my chest and for an hour, she cried and cried and cried till I was sure she had no more tears left.

During this time, I gave a brief order and the warriors there all left the scene.

After sometime, I discovered that she had somehow fallen asleep and then took her back to my house.

I had a split thought that she might be scared when she awoke but I couldn't afford to be far from her after hearing all that.

She held so much pain behind her mask. She held so much hurt and all at the hands of those bastards that had escaped my grasp.

“Find them. I want them found alive” I ordered into the link and they all gave their consents.

“Is that bad?” Jared asked, his voice carrying the pain I was feeling.

“It's that bad. I'm surprised she held on that long.” I replied, but I was happy she did or I would have never met her. At least not alive.

The horror of smelling your mate but finding her dead. That was not something anyone should feel.

“They'll pay for what they did to her?” Grayson spoke up and I nodded, caressing her face as I swore in my mind to destroy whomever had laid a hand on her.

I would murder them all but first I would make them feel the pain she felt and I would make sure it was a hundred fold more than what she went through.

They would wish for death but would not get it and goddess helps whomever was in my way because I would destroy them all.

My mind was set already, it was sent that same day she had that nightmare and whispered that word that broke me.

“Too weak” I knew she was referring to herself and that was only proven right when she demanded to be trained and how she kept persevering through each hard training sessions.
