Chapter 3

Author: Glutinous Yellow
In the office, Professor Doyle sat behind his desk, casually twirling a pen in his hand.

"Mindy, someone reported you for engaging in immoral transactions off-campus."

He tossed a stack of photos onto the desk. They were pictures of me getting into my family's car the other day.

"Professor Doyle, that's a rumor." I took a deep breath before continuing, "These men are actually my family."

"Family?" Professor Doyle snorted with contempt. "As far as I know, your file lists you as an orphan who got in on scholarship. Don't tell me the orphanages are filled with people driving Rolls-Royce now? Mindy, there's a limit to lying."

He stood up and came to a stop in front of me after rounding the desk.

"The academy has zero tolerance for scandals like this, and expulsion is certain. However…" His voice dropped to a low murmur as his gaze grew thick with desire and began to slowly roam all over me.

"I've always been quite interested in the Luminian genetic structure. If you're willing to be my private research specimen, I could consider suppressing this for you. Come to my apartment tonight and assist with some data collection."

"Professor Doyle." I took a step back, my eyes turning cold. "If I recall correctly, your mother is a jackal, isn't she? And in the werewolf bloodline hierarchy, jackal-wolf hybrids are classified as a C-rank bloodline. So, does an impure half-breed like you even have the right to talk about genetics?"

The air instantly froze.

Professor Doyle's face flushed a dark, mottled purple.

"W-What did you say? You lowly nobody!"

He raised his hand to strike me, but I turned and rushed out after yanking the door open.

Behind me, Professor Doyle's roar echoed, "Mindy, you're finished! I'll make sure you won't be able to survive anywhere in the entire werewolf territory."

I sprinted out of the office building. Panic drove me into a narrow side path, only to find a dead end at a high wall.

Heavy footsteps thudded behind me.

Bart, along with several other he-wolves, blocked the entrance to the path. In his hand, he held a large pair of sharp scissors.

"Go on, keep running. Why'd you stop?"

Bart snipped the air with the scissors. "Word is Professor Doyle is furious. Hey Mindy, did you know that Luminian dark hair fetches a high price on the black market, especially if it's natural?

"If I cut off your hair and sell it to the wig factory, that should cover the cost of my combat boots, right?"

"Stay back!" I pressed my back against the wall. There was nowhere left to retreat.

"Grab her!" Bart ordered.

Two boys rushed forward, pinning my shoulders and slamming me against the wall.

Bart walked over and grabbed a lock of my long hair. He then brought it to his nose and took a deep breath.

"Mm, it smells so good. Too bad it's on a half-breed's head."

The scissors came down with a snip, and a lock of dark hair drifted lightly to the ground.

I lifted my head, no longer hiding the murderous gleam in my eyes, and stared fixedly at Bart.

He faltered for a moment under my gaze.

"What are you looking at?" he snapped before slapping me across the face with the back of his hand.

Blood seeped from the corner of my mouth.

I didn't cry, nor did I struggle anymore. Instead, I reached into my pocket with my free hand and pulled out another phone. Then, I pressed the red emergency call button. It was answered instantly.

"Uncle Neil, someone cut my hair," I said calmly. "He also called us new money upstarts and said he'd sell my hair to buy new combat boots."

There was a second of silence on the other end of the line, then came an earsplitting howl.

"Which piece of trash did that to you? Send me your location, and I'll bring the Royal Enforcement Squad to wipe out his entire bloodline right now!"

After hanging up, the campus broadcast suddenly crackled with a sharp burst of static.

"Announcement—all faculty and students, proceed to the Combat Arena immediately for a disciplinary assembly. Mindy Newman, report to the stage at once for a self-reflection session."

Bart tossed the scissors aside and grabbed my arm.

"Hear that? Your judgment day has come. Let's go—it's time for the whole school to enjoy your little self-reflection session."

The sheer impact of the plot twist left everyone's mind completely blank.Professor Doyle slumped to the ground, muttering to himself, "Her Royal Highness? W-What have I done?"The genetic theory he had been boasting about just moments ago had now become the greatest joke of all. The target of his disdain was none other than the princess, the fount from which his own race sprang.Jessica's face was still smeared with red paint, but the jealousy in her eyes had now turned into despair. After all, the noble status she had always prided herself on was worth less than dirt in the presence of a princess.I walked slowly up to Wilson."Wilson, so this is how you govern your territory? It's rife with bullying, discrimination, and slander!"Cold sweat poured down Wilson's face as he desperately banged his head on the ground. "It's all my fault! I'll correct this without delay!"He turned his gaze toward the students and teachers who were already petrified with fear.A trace of ruthless

Professor Doyle's words kindled a glimmer of hope in the eyes of the desperate Mr. Rocha and the werewolf students around him.Wilson was the uncrowned king of the Veldtian werewolves, the true ruler of this land. Even Luminians had to show him some respect within Veldtia's territory. After all, it was an unspoken rule that an outsider shouldn't pick a fight with the king of the hill."That's right! Alpha Wilson is on his way!" Mr. Rocha scrambled to his feet and shouted hoarsely, "I've activated the emergency transmitter. No matter how powerful you are, you can't cause trouble on Alpha Wilson's turf!"Gerard exchanged glances with Uncle Neil and Great-uncle Zachary. The expressions on all three of their faces turned peculiar, as if they were staring at a fool. From the distance came the even louder roar of massive engines, causing everyone to look up.A luxurious gold-painted private jet, escorted by four fighter jets, flew low across the sky. This was Wilson's personal aircraft

A heavy, dead silence descended. In its grip, no one dared to so much as twitch. The werewolf students in the stands huddled together fearfully, their terror so complete it had even robbed them of the instinct to flee."Not talking, huh?" Uncle Neil grinned, baring a row of stark white teeth. He yanked the starter cord of his chainsaw, and the deafening roar of the motor tore through the silence like a demon's howl.He strode over to where Bart was kneeling. Then, as if hoisting a dead chicken, he clamped a single hand around Bart's throat and lifted the 200-pound brute clear off the ground."It was you, wasn't it?" Uncle stared at the tattered scrap of fabric still clutched in Bart's hand. "Did you tear off Mindy's clothes with this hand?"Bart began to whimper. His eyes rolled back, and his legs kicked frantically. But against the overwhelming power of an Alpha, he was utterly helpless.Without another word, Uncle Neil crushed Bart's wrist with his bare hand. The sound of bone

The gale whipped up by the propellers crashed down on the Combat Arena like a sledgehammer. Amidst the swirling yellow sand, the cheerleading skirt Jessica was so proud of was whipped upward, exposing her disheveled underwear. The werewolf students, who had been arrogantly throwing stones just moments before, were now tossed about by the fierce winds. Some were even flung straight off the viewing stands."W-What kind of unit is this?"Mr. Rocha clung desperately to the handrail, his wig—a symbol of his authority—blown away to reveal a ridiculous bald spot. But he didn't have the luxury of caring about it now.He stared in terror at the ten armed helicopters hovering almost right above their heads. The blood-red wolf-head emblem on their fuselages made his very soul tremble. It was the legendary emblem, one that only the ancient royal guards of the werewolf kingdom were permitted to display. With a deafening roar, the massive bronze gate of the Combat Arena—opened only during gran

The Combat Arena was packed with crowds filling the stands.Shoved forward, I stumbled into the center of the field.Jessica stood on the platform with a microphone in hand."Fellow students! Today, we gather here to expel the bad apple from our midst. Not only did Mindy Newman seduce Alphas and break families apart, but she also sold her body for money."She even attempted to assault a professor and dishonor werewolf bloodlines. She is nothing but a walking scourge!"The crowds started to jeer."Get out!""Burn the witch!""Kill that half-breed!"Rotten tomatoes, stones, and eggs rained down like hail.A stone struck my forehead. Blood immediately trickled down and gummed my eyes shut. But I remained standing straight. The principal, Alfred Rocha, sat on the highest platform and tapped the microphone."Silence."The entire arena fell into hushed stillness."In light of Mindy's numerous offenses and her complete lack of remorse, I hereby announce, on behalf of the school
