Ryker’s POV

I couldn’t rest. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw Serena’s face, and every time I tried to rest, my demons would torture me more. They kept whispering that I was running out of time, that I was going to lose her forever if I didn’t act soon. The pain in my chest was getting worse with each passing hour.

When my phone finally rang, I grabbed it so fast that I almost dropped it. Isabella’s name flashed on the screen.

“Isabella?” I said, pressing the phone to my ear.
