Chapter Two

Alexandru Point of View

"Thank you very much for seeing us on such short notice, Mr Conri." She says, and I nod, with a smile.

"I should be thanking you for chosing Conri Constructions." I say, and she laughs, looking at her husband.

"It is the best, or so we've heard." He say, shaking my hand, as we get up.

"Conri is a very unique name, one I have never heard before." She says, and I frown.

"Ignore my wife, she is just excited." He says, and I smile at them, then see them off. One down, fourty more.

"Are you ready?" Zayd says, standing by the door, and I know.

Establishing a branch of Conri Construction (CC) here in New Orleans has been quite tricky, it has me moving back and forth from New Jersey and New Orleans, however, making Zayd the manager is one of my brightest decison.

"There's a new bar in the French Quarter we should try." He adds, and I nod, replying Addie's text where she says she's still stuck at school, and the kids are with Lily.

I grab my suit, and we walk out, side by side.

"Good deal" He asks, and I nod with a smile.

"Thirty nine more." He smirks, and I give him the finger.

Zayd and I have gotten closer over the years, and one of the reason would be Alina, my sister, who he is finally dating, I was surprised when he asked for advise on how to ask her, but they love eachother and that is what matters.

Where am I?

I look around, and see no one, I am in what seems like a desert.

I was walking with Zayd, and now I am here, what is going on, I look down and see a ca --

"Luc, you okay man?" He says, hand clapped on my shoulders, and I nod, wondering what the hell just happened.

I need to go home, see my wife, I have been away for three days, and today that I thought I'd see her, I got a call. I miss my wife and kids.

"Give it up for Alexandruu!" Rick claps as we walk closer, and I dutifully give him the finger.

"How's the twins?" I say to Zach who grins.

"Obsessed with Noah."

I laugh at that because my son is a charmer, and a very beautiful boy, who is going to be a heartbreaker, dreading his teenage years.

"What was t -- "

I give Zayd a look, telling him to not to complete the sentence, I don't even know what it was, so how will I explain it?

"Brother." Alina says, and I turn to look at her, appreciative of her timing, I smile when I see she's with Cornelia, and Daniel, wonder where Ashley is.

"Sister." I say, hugging her, loving me Family and Pack with every passing moment.

"Girlfriend." Zayd saying, mocking us, and I shove him playfully.

"Daniel." I say, and we bump knuckles.

"Hi Cornelia." I say, handing her a pack of chocolate, it is amazing how fast things have changed, Ashley and Cornelia are humans, and willingly stayed in the Pack, raised their little girl amongst Witches and Werewolves, they are Family.

"Hi." She smiles, taking the chocolate from me, her blue eyes wide.

"Thank you, how do you feel about Zoe's hair?" She says and I frown.

"Zoe's hair?" Did Addie cut it short

"Yes, it turned red, well, has a bit of red in it." She says, and I freeze, the bar falling silent.

"Zoe's har turned red?" Alina says confused.

"Yes, I thought you knew, it happened on Sunday." She shrugs, and I grit my teeth, today is Tuesday, three days and Adaline didn't say anything.

"Let's go." Rick says, and I nod, worried about my daughter.

Since the birth of Zoe, we have all wondered about what she will be, she is the daughter of a Lycan and a Flower, one of the most powerful witch in the world, and in all her five years, we have not seen anything, not even a Werewolf ability, and this red hair unsettles me, because the only person I know with red hair is my mother, who is an equally powerful witch, and that power did not break any joy.

History will not repeat itself.

"Daddy!" Noah runs to me when he sees us.

"Hey buddy." I carry him, kissing his cheek.

"Missed you." He says, clinging to my shirt, and my heart tightens.

"Missed you too." I say, kissing his forehead.

"Alexandru, when did you get back, and what is everyone doing in my living room?" Camille walks out of the kitchen with a wash cloth.

"Mom, did you say Alex -- Babe" Adaline walks out with a big smile, and God, I love this woman, she's wearing one of my old shirt, with the skirt she wore to work.

I hand Noah to Rick, who takes him eagerly, and draw Addie to me, burying my face in her hair, I will love this woman till I die, but right now I am angry at her.

"Get a room."

I hear, and pull away to see my daughter, giving us a look with her ballet shoes in her hands. I walk to her, and say "Hey baby girl."

"Daddy." She smiles at me, I have my girls, what more could I ask for.

"You're looking exceptionally beautifull today." I say, kneeling before her. She blushes, then giggles, Zoe might be smarter than her peers, very perceptive, but she's just a girl, a five years old girl.

"Let me see your hair." I say softly, and she nods, turning backwards. I exhale, because it is an exact replica of my mother's, the same shade.

"Daddy, is it bad?" She says, looking at me, with big green eyes.

I shake my head and say "How could it bad, it is beautiful."

She nods, and throws her hand round my neck, what does this mean?

I watch Blu cast a spell that keep the our words in, because I know Cornelia and Zoe, they'll be by the door.

"It is not bad." Lily, my Mom says, and I glare at her.

"My daughter has your hair, you are a Flower, one of the most powerful witches in the world, with the wife before you. Your magic hasn't done you any good, and you think it's not bad that your granddaughter has the same?" I say, my voice hard.

"Alexandru." Rafeal, my Dad says, and I sit down, gritting my teeth.

"Let's find out what it means." Selena says softly, and I nod, as they sit on the floor, Blu, Lola and Selena.

"Aurora." Lola says, and Addie stiffens, magic is not something she has exclusively practised in five years, but she walks to them, sits and they start chanting.

This goes on for five minutes, till I hear soft raindrops on the roof. They pull apart, and Blu says "Zoe is destined for greatness, that was known, but she is also destined for something bigger than all of us combined."

"Her hair means she has parts of her grandmothers in her -- Adora, Camille and Lily, she has their best parts, their strenghts and powers." Selena says.

"As she grows, she will have every part of you, this is just the begininging. You know you weren't raising a normal child, she is the daughter of a Lycan and Flower. Adaline, there was a message for you from them." Lola says, and I frown.
